Abstract:
A storage space management method using a quarter limiting technique in a transcoding server is provided to maximally increase a CPU saving value by efficient trade-off between a storage space and a CPU usage rate, thereby handling more requests. Version sets of each video for constituting a maximum saving value of CPU usage are determined by using a quarter limiting technique(S10). Transcoding versions for each video are selected and stored on the basis of the determined version sets of each video(S20). When the version sets of each video are determined, the following processes are performed. Among the version sets of each video, LP(Linear Programming) dominant items only are left while the remaining version sets are used to calculate an upper limit value.
Abstract:
The present invention suggests a media player and a method of supervising energy of the media player. In particular, the media player according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a division unit for dividing an image into a plurality of segments; a quality level determination unit for determining quality levels of the segments based on the segments such that an average maximum signal-to-noise ratio of the image is maximized under a restricted energy condition; a frequency level selection unit for selecting frequency levels of the frames constituting the segments based on the quality levels determined by the quality level determination unit; and an image reproduction unit for reproducing the image based on a selection result of the frequency level selection unit and the quality level determined by the quality level determination unit.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A low power video reproducing method through the decoding time prediction is provided to efficiently reduce power consumption through log regression analysis by accurately predicting the decoding time of the regeneration frame. CONSTITUTION: A frame information acquisition unit(100) obtains frame information from a video file. A sampling unit(200) samples decoding time by video frame. A decoding time prediction unit(300) predicts the decoding time of a reproduction target video frame. A deadline setting unit(400) sets up the allowable range of intentional deadline miss. An operating frequency controller(500) controls the operating frequency of a central processing unit.
