    Abstract: A system and a method for transmitting contents at ultra high speed are provided to shorten time needed for downloading the contents by downloading large size contents in a short time and reduce a service charge by transmitting the contents to a download station and transmitting the contents to a mobile terminal from the downloading station through an ultra high speed communication module without passing any charged network. An ultra high speed contents transmitter(10) collects contents and related information from a CP(Content Provider) server(50), collects contents download information from a mobile terminal(30), and transmits the contents and the contents download information to a plurality of download stations(20-1 to 20-n) according to the content download information. The download station includes an ultra high speed communication module, stores the contents and the contents download information, and transmits a beacon signal periodically. The download station searches the contents to be transmitted to a mobile terminal and downloads the searched contents to the mobile terminal through the ultra high speed communication module when a response signal is received from the mobile terminal by responding to the beacon signal.
