    Abstract: PURPOSE: A novel Rhodobacter sphaeroides mutant strain and a medium composition containing the same are provided to remarkably promote microbe growth. CONSTITUTION: A mutant strain contains 16s rRNA having a homology of 95% or more with 16s rRNA of Rhodobacter sphaeroides(KCTC 1434) of sequence number 1. The mutant strain contains 16s rRNA of sequence numbers 2-4. A mutagen is N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine, 4-nitroquinoline-1-oxide, or tryptopane-P-2. A medium composition for promoting growth of animal cells contains the mutant strain as an active ingredient.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for preparing Daphnia magna egg which is transformed with a reporter gene is provided to obtain a large amount of transformed Daphnia magna egg. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing Daphnia magna eggs which are transformed by a reporter gene comprises: a step of constructing a recombinant expression vector containing an exogenous stress-response gene promoter and a reporter gene of which expression is controlled by the promoter; and a step of introducing the recombinant expression vector to the Daphnia magna eggs by microinjection method. The exogenous stress-response gene promoter is 18S rRNA promoter. The reporter gene is blue fluorescence protein.
