Abstract: Calcium phosphate-based bioceramics derived from teeth and a manufacturing method for the same are provided to obtain calcium phosphate-based bioceramics that is more stable for a long time. A manufacturing method of calcium phosphate-based bioceramics derived from teeth includes the steps of: removing the organic materials that are contained in the teeth by calcining the teeth; pulverizing the teeth from which the organic materials are removed to prepare the inorganic powder of calcium phosphate; compressing the inorganic powder to mold it into a molding material in a specific shape; and sintering the molding material. In the sintering step, the sintering is performed at 1,150-1,250deg.C for 1 to 3 hours at a vapor atmosphere.

Abstract: A biostable hydroxyapatite composite and a manufacturing method for the same are provided to prevent the formation of the second phase from the hydroxyapatite due to the pyrolusis. A manufacturing method of biostable hydroxyapatite composite includes the steps of: adding glass phase powder that contains 28-32 weight% of P2O5, 28-32 weight% of CaO and 37-43 weight% of Na2O to the powder of the hydroxyapatite powder and adding and mixing 1.0-2.5 weight% of glass phase powder to 97.5-99 weight% of hydroxyapatite powder; and compressing and sintering the mixed powder at 950 - 1,100deg.C. In the compressing and sintering step, sintering is performed for 30-60 minutes while the pressure of 25 to 35 MPa is given.
