Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for using RA(Red Algae) for preparing RA-PLA(Polylactic Acid) is provided to reduce the number of processes without a pretreatment process and to save preparation cost. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing RA-PLA comprises: a step of washing red algae with water and dehydrating; a step of dipping the dehydrated red algae in a solvent for a predetermined length of time and extracting the same; a step of separating the extract into a liquid phase extract and solid powder and saccharifying the liquid phase extract into monosaccharides; a step of fermenting the monosaccharides into lactic acid by using fermentation bacteria; a step of isolating and collecting the lactic acid; a step of dehydrating the lactic acid and forming lactide; and a step of performing a ring-opening polymerization using a catalyst and synthesizing RT-PLA.
