    Abstract: PURPOSE: A catalyst ink for an electrochemical device is provided to prevent primary pores in a catalyst layer from being clogged by a binder, thereby increasing the primary pores. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst ink for an electrochemical device includes a catalyst, an ionomer binder, and a solvent. The catalyst ink includes ortho-dichlorobenzene as a pore-forming agent. The pore-forming agent has a higher boiling point than that of the solvent and is non-soluble to the ionomer binder. The content of the 1,2-dichlorobenzene is 0.33-33.33 times of the weight of the catalyst. The weight ratio of the ionomer binder to the catalyst is 20-40 %. The catalyst is metal or alloy. The electrode for the electric chemical device is the coating layer of the catalyst ink.
