Abstract: PURPOSE: A mixed nuclear fuel rod is provided to reduce a consumption quantity of a nuclear fuel and to increase a moderator ability of neutron by inserting a black lead into a nuclear fuel rod, and a nuclear fuel assembly is provided to increase a nuclear fuel ratio without changing a structure of a nuclear fuel assembly. CONSTITUTION: A black lead being a moderator is inserted into a nuclear fuel pellet made of uranium-plutonium mixed oxide, a mixed nuclear fuel pellet having the black lead is inserted into a mixed nuclear fuel rod(10) with maintaining a constant gap from an inner diameter. A nuclear fuel assembly(30) includes the mixed nuclear fuel rods which are respectively mounted to each cell(22). Some part(31) of a cell(22) is empty so that the part(31) is used as supplementary water holes for cooling the mixed nuclear fuel rod(10), thereby increasing a moderator ability of neutron.
