Abstract: PURPOSE: A transmission tree building method and a device for the same are provided to apply transmission structure composition method of different policies to composition nodes with different operation mode when multiuser real-time IP(Internet Protocol) TV broadcast service is supplied in an overlay transmission structure. CONSTITUTION: An information reception unit(100) receives agent information from an agent. An operation mode check unit(122) checks the operation mode of the agent based on the received information. A level allocation unit(124) allocates a level to the agent by reflecting the operation mode. A tree composition unit(130) compose a transmission tree between agents based on the level information. If broadcast registration or reception request is received from the agent, a list provision unit(140) generates a candidate node list based on the level information of the agents and provides the list to the agents.
