Abstract: PURPOSE: A system and method for reproducing caption information of a DVD player are provided to allow a user to watch images with a caption of a desired language. CONSTITUTION: A system for reproducing caption information of a DVD player includes a caption information processor(22). The caption information processor receives and stores information of a caption composed of a language a user desires and provides the caption information constructed of the desired language to the user when a DVD is played. The DVD player includes a monitor connected to a terminal such as television and computer. The caption information processor includes a caption information receiver for receiving caption information constructed in a language a user desires in addition to caption information composed of languages provided by a DVD, a caption information storage for storing the caption information, and a caption information reproducing unit for reproducing the stored caption information.
