    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and a device for generating a random number using a noise of an electronic circuit are provided to offer statistical randomness proper to a random number generator comprising hardware including the electronic circuit and make a real random number generator continuously generate a perfect random number without an influence of a surrounding temperature or a substrate. CONSTITUTION: A noise signal extractor(10) extracts an AC noise signal. An AC component signal amplifier(20) receives/amplifies the AC noise signal extracted from the noise signal extractor. A pattern recognizer(30) receives/recognizes the amplified signal as '1' or '0'. A bit sampler(40) collects a random number string by sampling the recognized bit string through a predetermined sampling frequency. A filter(50) filters the collected random number string by verifying the random number string collected in a buffer size with use of the buffer size, which is a storing space for storing the collected random number string, and a number of '1' bit included in the buffer size.
