본 발명은, 3D 영상을 제공하는 영상 시스템에서 사용자의 시청 환경 및 컨텐츠 특성에 따라 자막 및 텍스트 등을 영상 데이터에 삽입하여 제공하는 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 영상 데이터 및 깊이 정보 데이터를 수신하여 스테레오스코픽(stereoscopic) 영상 데이터를 생성하는 입체 영상 생성부와, 상기 스테레오스코픽 영상 데이터로부터 3D 영상의 시차 정보를 분석하고, 상기 분석한 시차 정보를 단계 별로 구분하여 시차 단계 정보를 결정하는 시차 계산부와, 상기 시차 단계 정보를 적용하여 자막 및 텍스트를 생성하고, 상기 생성한 자막 및 텍스트의 위치 정보를 생성하는 자막 및 텍스트 발생부, 및 상기 자막 및 텍스트의 위치 정보를 통해 상기 스테레오스코픽 영상 데이터에 상기 자막 및 텍스트를 삽입하여 3D 영상 데이터를 제공하는 영상 합성부를 포함한다.

PURPOSE: A stereoscopic contents reproduction apparatus and method are provided to collectively include or control stereoscopic property information for a plurality of stereoscopic objects in the reproduction of stereoscopic contents. CONSTITUTION: A stereoscopic contents reproduction apparatus includes a storage unit(310) and a controller(320). The storage unit keeps one or more stereoscopic contents. The controller collectively applies stereoscopic property information to the one or more stereoscopic contents. The stereoscopic contents reproduction apparatus offers the program of the one or more stereoscopic contents or a contents communication type interactive service.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method and system for providing a 3D video service are provided to compensate a nonblocking area by using a background image. CONSTITUTION: A transmission device includes a 3D additional image preprocessor(410), an encoder(420), and a transmission unit(430). The 3D additional image preprocessor receives the input of a reference image and a basic 3D image, reduces a pixel of the 3D basic image by a predetermined size according to a reproduction reference of preset 3D image, and generates a 3D additional image with a frame of the same size as a frame of a reference image. The encoder encodes the inputted reference image and the 3D additional image. The transmission unit transmits the encoded reference image and the 3D additional image to a transmission network by multiplexing the image.

PURPOSE: A stereoscopic perception controlling method, a controlling device thereof and a 3d video encoding device and 3d terminal using the same are provided to automatically monitor stereoscopic perception through data related to disparity. CONSTITUTION: A disparity calculation unit(210) generates disparity of the 3D image by using a left image and a right image which is an element of a 3D image. A disparity determining unit(220) determines whether the disparity is within a preset section. According to the determining result, a disparity adjusting unit(230) controls the size of the disparity.

PURPOSE: A displaying apparatus and a method thereof which display three dimensional images are provided to enable a user to normally display three dimensional image by determining whether to be the existence and nonexistence of the three dimensional images. CONSTITUTION: A display device automatically recognizes the image conversion in a three dimensional image system. A receiver(100) extracts specific information of the display device. A calculating unit(121) calculates a result value by using a reference element and a selection element by selecting a left image or a right image. A determining(120) determines whether the system is normal by using the result value. A correcting unit(130) corrects the left image and the right image according to the determining result.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for rendering a depth based image in mobile broadcasting are provided to apply a discontinuous maintenance filter to a depth image, thereby minimizing distortion of the depth image. A discontinuous maintenance filter(111) smoothes a depth image correspondingly to gradient amplitude of the depth image. An adaptive smoothing filter(115) calculates a gradient degree of the depth image transmitted from the discontinuous maintenance filter. Only when gradient amplitude is larger than a preset value, the adaptive smoothing filter applies a filter feature according to a gradient direction to the depth image. The adaptive smoothing filter transmits the depth image to an encoding module(120). The encoding module transmits a reference image and the depth image.

실시간방송프로그램의기준영상과부가영상간의동기화방법은기준영상의시작시점을수신기에미리알려주기위한소정의식별자를포함하는적어도하나의프레임을생성하는단계와, 상기소정의식별자를포함하는적어도하나의프레임을수신측으로제공하는단계를포함한다. 또는, 실시간방송프로그램의기준영상과부가영상간의동기화방법은실시간방송프로그램의기준영상과연동되는부가영상을수신측에서미리준비하도록하기위하여송신측에서부가영상연동정보를포함하는시그널링정보를생성하는단계와, 상기시그널링정보를수신기로제공하는단계를포함한다. 따라서, 실시간방송프로그램의 3D 기준영상과수신기에저장된 3D 부가영상또는스트리밍되는 3D 부가영상간의동기화를정확하고효율적으로수행할수 있다.
