Abstract: PURPOSE: A VPPM decoder, a control method thereof, and a data reception device including the same are provided to maintain decoding performance excellent although a level variation point of a VPPD coding signal within a bit according to desired brightness. CONSTITUTION: A VPPM decoder(10) includes an edge detection module(14) and a decoding module(16). The edge detection module detects a rise edge point and a fall edge point of the coded data when the VPPM coded data are inputted. The decoding module controls a decision point of the coded data using the detected rise edge point and fall edge point and decodes the coded data corresponding to the adjusted decision point. Abstract: 본 발명은 맨체스터코드로 코딩된 데이터를 처리하는 맨체스트코드용 디코더에 관한 것으로, 본 발명은 맨체스터코드로 코딩된 데이터가 입력된 경우 입력데이터의 상승에지시점 및 하강에지시점을 검출하는 에지검출모듈; 및 상기 검출된 상승에지시점 및 하강에지시점을 이용하여 상기 입력데이터의 판별시점을 조정하며, 조정된 판별시점에 대응하여 상기 입력데이터를 디코딩하는 디코딩모듈;을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 이에 의해 본 발명은 맨체스터 코딩데이터가 정확히 비트의 중앙에서 Low?High 또는 High?Low로 값이 변하지 않는 경우에도 디코딩 성능을 우수하게 유지할 수 있다.
