양안식 3DTV 서비스의 화질 개선 장치에 관한 것으로, 화질 개선 장치는 기준 영상에 에러가 존재하는지 여부를 검출하는 에러 검출부; 상기 검출 결과에 기초하여 부가 영상의 화질을 개선하기 위한 참조 정보를 수정하는 참조 정보 수정부; 상기 참조 정보에 대응하여 상기 부가 영상의 화질을 개선하는 화질 개선부; 및 상기 화질이 개선된 부가 영상 및 기준 영상을 이용하여 3D 영상을 합성하는 3D 영상 합성부를 포함할 수 있다.

PURPOSE: A content providing device, a method, a content reproducing device, and a method for synchronizing left and right streams in a fixed and moved fusion type of a 3D TV are provided to perform demultiplexing restoration of synchronization information, thereby performing audio synchronization and video synchronization between timing models of a left image and a right image. CONSTITUTION: A content providing device generates synchronization information for coinciding reproduction time between access units of a left image and a right image(801). The content providing device transmits a main content stream of the left image and an additional content stream of the right image to a content reproducing device. The content providing device multiplexes the synchronization information by inserting the synchronization information to the main content stream or signaling information of the additional content stream(802). PURPOSE: A synchronization method for implementing a 3D service in ATSC-M/H is provided to adjust synchronism between a TS(transmission stream)-M stream and an M/H stream. CONSTITUTION: A TS inputted to a dual stream through a receiver is separated into a TS-M stream and a M/H stream through an inverse multiplexer. Each of timing models is analyzed to adjust synchronism between streams including two different timing models and to find reference information shared between the timing models. Synchronization between heterogeneous streams is performed based on PTS(Presentation Time Stamp) information generated through a wall-clock. A 3D image is formed through the synchronization by using the heterogeneous streams having the same time synchronism.

Disclosed are a video reproduction apparatus for three-dimensional television (3DTV) and a processing method for the same. The video reproduction apparatus can determine the output time of a buffer which stores right-image stream and left-image stream for a 3D image, and can determine a buffer size or a buffer delay time by using the difference between the reception times of the right-image stream and the left-image stream. Furthermore, the video reproduction apparatus can correct a reference clock or a timestamp by using the difference between the reception times of the right-image stream and the left-image stream. CONSTITUTION: An image compression standard determination apparatus encodes a high quality image(210). The low quality image is encoded by the determined image compression standard in case the average power of quantization noise in the encoded low quality image is under than the average power of the quantization noise in the encoded high quality image(230,240).
