PURPOSE: A system and method for providing a multimedia service in a mobile communication network are provided to enable a service-registered mobile terminal to set a multimedia session for a mobile terminal which has not been registered for the service and provide a multimedia service to it. CONSTITUTION: An origination UE(User Equipment)(200o) requests a multimedia service session setup from a P-CSCF(Call Server Control Function)(241o)(S601). The P-CSCF(241o) requests the multimedia service session setup from an S-CSCF(243o)(S602). The S-CSCF(243o) requests the multimedia service session setup from an I-CSCF(242t)(S603). The I-CSCF(242t) requests information of the S-CSCF(243o) from an HSS(Home Subscriber Server)(250t)(S604). The HSS(250t) informs the I-CSCF(242t) about an IMSI(International Mobile Subscriber Identity) of a destination UE(200t)(S605). The I-CSCF(242t) requests a GGSN(Gateway GPRS Support Node) to register a multimedia service for the destination UE(200t)(S606). The GGSN checks whether a PDP session has been set for the IMSI and requests the destination UE(200t) to register an IP(Internet Protocol) multimedia service(S607-S608) and the destination UE(200t) registers a multimedia service(S609). The HSS(250t) informs the I-CSCF(242t) that the service registration has been completed(S610). The I-CSCF(242t) requests a service session setup from an S-CSCF(243t)(S611). The S-CSCF(243t) requests the service session setup from a P-CSCF(241t)(S612). The P-CSCF(241t) requests the service session setup with an address of the UE(200t)(S613). The destination UE(200t) transmits service information to the P-CSCF(241t)(S614). The P-CSCF(241t) transmits the service information to the S-CSCF(243t)(S615). The S-CSCF(243t) transmits a session response message to the S-CSCF(243o)(S616). The S-CSCF(243o) transmits the service information to the UE(200o) by way of the P-CSCF(241o)(S617,S618).

PURPOSE: An opposite table constructing and operating method in a system using a diameter protocol is provided to effectively match request messages given and taken between an HSS(Home Subscriber Server) and a CSCF(Call Session Control function) through a Cx interface and response message to the request messages. CONSTITUTION: An MMSE(Multimedia Mobility Service Element) processor(41) sends a PPR(Push Profile Request) message(401). A diameter processor(420) extracts required information from the PPR message, encodes it and stores information required for the opposite table(402). The diameter processor(420) transmits the encoded message to the opposite diameter of an S-CSCF(44)(403,404). A SCTP(Stream Control Transmission Protocol) processor(45) receives the encoded message and transfers it to a diameter processor(46)(405). The diameter processor(46) stores information required for the opposite table, decodes the message(406) and then transfers it to a CSCP processor(47)(407). The CSCP processor(47) updates a corresponding user file, and in the normal case, the CSCF processor(47) sends a PPA message(409). The diameter processor(46) extracts information on the PPR message, encodes a response message(410), and then transmits the encoded message to an HSS(40)(411,412). A SCTP processor(43) of the HSS(40) transfers the encoded PPA message to a diameter processor(42)(413). The diameter processor(42) decodes the PPA message, extracts information required for the opposite table, matches a corresponding PPR message(414), and then transfers the matched PPA message to the MMSE processor(41)(415).

PURPOSE: A subscriber profile implementing and transferring method in an IP(Internet Protocol) multimedia HSS(Home Subscriber Server) is provided to facilitate searching of a subscriber database by designing an IP multimedia service subscriber profile in a hierarchical structure by services and functions. CONSTITUTION: An HSS reads system information from a database, initializes various variables and turns in a standby state to wait a message. When an SAR(Server-Assignment-Request) message is received from a CSCF(Call Session Control Function), the HSS checks whether a received public ID and a private ID are identical to those in the database. If they are identical, the HSS brings every content of a service profile where the public ID belongs. Each content is constructed in an AVP(Attribute Value Pair) form and coded and a subscriber profile is entirely transmitted through an SAA(Server-Assignment-Answer) message to the CSCF.

PURPOSE: A call processing method of an IP multimedia service using a VSS(Visited Subscriber Server) is provided to directly connect a call with a receiving subscriber in a transmitting visit network, depending on whether the subscriber is registered in a VSS, or to directly connect the call with a receiving home network without passing through a transmitting home network, thereby connecting the call. CONSTITUTION: If a subscriber transmits a call for an IM(IP Multimedia) service to a receiver, a system transmits an invite message to a PS-CSCF(Proxy and Serving-Call State Control Function)(1). The PS-CSCF decides whether the receiver is a registered user by searching a VSS. If not, the PS-CSCF transmits the invite message to an I-CSCF(Interrogating-CSCF) of the receiver(2). The I-CSCF receives PS-CSCF information on the receiver from an HSS(Home Subscriber Server)(3,4), and transmits the invite message to the PS-CSCF(5). The PS-CSCF transmits the message to the receiver(6). A response to the invite message is transmitted to the subscriber through reverse paths(7,8,9,10). When a call processing procedure is completed, an RTP(Real-time Transport Protocol) connection is set as connecting the call(11).

PURPOSE: A method is provided to efficiently use wire/wireless resources by using the PDP(packet data protocol) session for management of packet transmission information commonly in one or more IP multimedia service sessions. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step(702,703) of permitting a mobile multimedia terminal to set a routing data table for packet data transmission to the terminal, control station, service GPRS support node, and a gateway GPRS support node through a PDP session setting, register the requested IP multimedia service, and compare the transmission speed required in the IP multimedia session and the transmission speed provided from the PDP session; a second step(704,705) of changing the current transmission speed of the PDP context into the transmission speed excluding the transmission speed requested by the IP multimedia service if the transmission speed provided from the PDP session is higher than the transmission speed requested from the IP multimedia session, and setting a session by using the transmission speed requested by the IP multimedia service; a third step(708) of changing the current transmission speed of the PDP context into zero if the transmission speed provided from the PDP session is lower than the transmission speed requested from the IP multimedia session, and setting a session by using the transmission speed provided from the PDP session; a fourth step of classifying service characteristics into predetermined levels, and searching the PDP session satisfying the level requested by the IP multimedia service; a fifth step of registering the IP multimedia service if the satisfactory PDP session is searched, and performing a multimedia service session setting; and a sixth step of setting a new PDP session if the satisfactory PDP session is not searched, registering the IP multimedia service and performing a multimedia service session setting.

PURPOSE: A call session control method for an Internet protocol multimedia service is provided to give priorities to SPIs(Service Points of Interest), to firstly apply an important SPI, and to define individual SPIs and group SPIs according to the priorities by mixing the SPIs, then to request a service control function of an application server by filtering the SPIs, thereby reducing service control time. CONSTITUTION: When an SIP request message is received(300), an S-CSCF(Serving Call Session Control Function) retrieves filter information from a DB(302) and examines the number of filters to be applied(304). If a filter count is not '0'(306), the S-CSCF selects a filter having the biggest priority(308). If the filter having the biggest priority is selected, the S-CSCF searches an SPI defined in the selected filter to decide whether an SPI count is '0'(310). If not, the S-CSCF selects an SPI having the biggest priority(312) and decides whether the selected SPI is a grouped SPI or an individual SPI(314). If the individual SPI, the S-CSCF filters the SPI(320). If a filter condition is satisfied(322), the S-CSCF forwards an SIP request message to an application server(324) and receives the SIP request message from the application server(326).

PURPOSE: A device for managing data of a mobile communication system and a method therefor are provided to supply a method of periodically collecting and managing data when automatically or manually collecting and measuring a large amount of data, when storing the collected information in a storage, and when obtaining results from the stored information, thereby reducing time for retrieving the storage and preventing network traffic from overlapping. CONSTITUTION: A schedule job execution module(201) collects data by measured periods based on absolute time, and outputs results. A periodic data collecting module(203) decides which job collects the data, based on absolute time from network nodes. A data storage module(204) has a storage for storing the collected data, and determines size of the storage. A data collection controlling module(205) controls various functions related to the data collection. A schedule data inquiry module(202) inquires of data results for a specific period.

PURPOSE: A content coupling display service apparatus and a method thereof are provided to display contents on more than two terminals by dividing the contents, thereby providing a content coupling display service. CONSTITUTION: A sensor unit (410) detects the location and movement of a neighboring terminal. A communication unit (420) transmits and receives contents to and from the neighboring terminal. If a control unit (460) receives a request signal for a window movement through an operation unit, the control unit calculates a window moving axis based on the signal which is detected by the sensor unit. The control unit divides contents which are included in the window by matching the moving axis. The control unit transmits the divided contents to the neighboring terminal through the communication unit. The control unit displays the divided contents on a screen.
