PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable compound having excellent properties such as mechanical strength and orientation and exhibiting excellent transparency after polymerization; a polymerizable composition including the polymerizable compound and being cured to give a polymer film, which maintains a uniform film condition even when its thickness is reduced and has excellent heat resistance, orientation controlling properties, and optical properties; and a polymer film containing a polymer obtained by polymerizing the polymerizable composition.SOLUTION: The polymerizable compound is represented by general formula (1). The polymerizable composition including the polymerizable compound and the polymer film containing a polymer obtained by polymerizing the polymerizable composition are also provided. In the formula: rings A, A, Aand Aare each independently a benzene ring, a cyclohexane ring, or a naphthalene ring; Rand Rare each independently a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and m and n are each independently 0 or 1.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable liquid crystal composition which has an NI point in a temperature range suitable for producing patterned optical elements in two or more phase difference parts and two or more isotropic parts, and in which a precipitate or the like is not generated.SOLUTION: The polymerizable liquid crystal composition includes: a polymerizable composition (A) represented by general formula (1); and a polymerizable composition represented by formula (2), wherein a total content of (A) and (B) is 70-100 mass% in a total content of total polymerizable compounds, and a mass ratio (A)/(B) is 95/5-50/50.
