Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold flow improver which can improve CFPP while improving cold flowability of fatty acid methyl ester to a greater degree than by the conventional cold flow improver.SOLUTION: The cold flow improver for fatty acid methyl ester is represented by formula (1). (In the formula, Rand Reach independently represents a hydrogen atom or a 1-30C aliphatic hydrocarbon group; m and n each independently represents the number from 1 to 50; p represents the number from 1 to 5,000; with proviso that above 80 mol% of the total of Rand Ris composed of 1C-30C aliphatic hydrocarbon groups and m/n=(0.4 to 4)).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance low-temperature flowability of a biodiesel fuel containing a fatty acid methyl ester, and to suppress precipitation separated out during storage at a low temperature.SOLUTION: The biodiesel fuel composition includes a copolymer (X) represented by general formula (1), one or two or more carbonyl-containing compound other than general formula (1) [a (Y) component], and a biofuel [a (Z) component]; wherein R, R, and Reach independently represent 1-40C hydrocarbon optionally containing an oxygen atom, or a hydrogen atom; p1 is an integer of 1-50; q1 is an integer of 1-50; and r1 is an integer of 1-5,000.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of demanding an additive compensating for the ability of engine oil, which is deteriorated by the reduction in sulfur functioning as an antioxidizing agent in the context of looking for many openings, such as improvement in fuel saving performance and purification of and reduction in emission gases, by the automotive industry in order to address environmental problems such as global warming, including the reduction in sulfur content in lubricant base oil, where a base oil with much sulfur content sometimes causes emission of hazardous materials such as sulfur oxides into the environment. SOLUTION: The lubricating oil composition according to the present invention comprises a novel phosphomolybdic compound and the base oil with a sulfur content of ≤200 ppm. Because a small amount of the novel phosphomolybdic compound shows ability equal to or better than that of an existing antioxidizing agent, the compound can improve a lubricant oil in the antioxidant ability without increasing the metal content in the lubricant oil. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel indole compound that can suppress oxidative deterioration of various lube oil compositions over a long period of time and a lube oil composition comprising the same. SOLUTION: The novel indole compound is represented by general formula (1), wherein R 1 -R 4 are each a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group and R 1 -R 4 are not a hydrogen atom simultaneously. The lube oil composition comprises the novel indole compound. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
