    Abstract: The bearing comprises a spring (2) made of rubber or a compact or cellular polyurethane elastomer which is fixed on one side to the inner wall side of a housing (1). The spring, on one or more sides of the housing to which it is not connected, is under tension. The spring incorporates an inner bush (3), with which it is in forced locking engagement. The elastic bearing is so installed in the vehicle that relative movements between the engine and the bodywork occur mainly in the direction of a specific axis (X). With these movements, the spring is primarily only subjected to bending and thrust, against which it shows only slight deformation resistance.
