Abstract: A process for the preparation of thermocurable moulding compositions based on bismaleimide resins by rigorously mixing a bismaleimide with comonomers, preferably diamines or aminophenols, in the presence of reinforcing fibres and/or fillers and at temperatures of between 100 and 180@C. The moulding compositions can be pressed to give flat prepregs, which can be shaped and cured to give high-performance composite materials.
