Abstract: In the prodn. of electroconductive homo- and copolymers (I) from 5-membered N-, O- or S-heterocyclic cpds. with a conjugated pi-electron system and aniline cpds. by polymerisation in an electrolyte, the novelty is that polymerisation is carried out in the presence of an indolizine sulphonic acid (deriv.) (II). The claims also cover (I) prepd. by this method. The-prepn. of (II) is described e.g. in F.J. Swinbourne, 'Advances in Heterocyclic Chemistry', 1976, vol. 23, 104-170. Polymerisation is carried out by anodic oxidn. in an electrolyte or chemically using an oxidant, opt. in the presence of an (in)organic substrate. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) are claimed for use as electrode material for prim. and sec. batteries and as electrical conductors. (I) have high electrical conductivity, high mechanical properties and better electrochemical discharge capacity than usual. (II) acts as conductive salt.

Abstract: Vat dyes obtainable by a) halogenation of dibenzanthrone with bromine in the presence of chlorosulphonic acid and a halogenation catalyst up to a bromine content of 26 to 32% by weight and a chlorine content of 1 to 5% by weight, and b) condensation of the isolated halogenation product with 1-aminoanthraquinone in a molar ratio of 1 : 2 to 1 : 2.5 in the presence of an inert solvent, the concentration of halogenated dibenzanthrone and 1-aminoanthraquinone together being at least 200 g/l of solvent, and their use for dyeing or printing cellulosic textile material.

Abstract: Novel dye mixts. contains: (A) a bis-(anthraquinon-l-ylamino)-nonacyclic diketone of formula (I); (B) C.I. Vat Black 25 (C.I.69525); (C) C.I. Vat Blue 20 (C.I. 59800); (D) C.I. Vt Green 3 (C.I. 69500); and opt. (E) C.I. Vat Green 1 (C.I. 59825). The dye mixts. contain 15-35 (pref. 20-25)% (A), 25-50 (pref. 35-40)% (B), 25-50 (pref. 35-40)% (C) and 2-15 (pref. 5-10)% (D). USE/ADVANTAGE - For dyeing or printing textiles of cellulose fibres, opt. blended with synthetic fibres. Fibres blended with cellulose are e.g. polyester, polyamide or polyurethane. The mixts. give a full range of black and grey tones. Dyeings have good light fastness with bright tones, give satisfactory coverage of dead and unripe cotton, have good soaping behaviours, etc.
