Abstract: An adjuvant comprising a sugar-based surfactant containing alkyl polyglucosides; a drift control agent comprising a fatty alcohol alkoxylate and a humectant; and an alkoxylate. The alkoxylate is (see formula I) or (see formula II). R1, R2, R5 independently is ethylene, propylene, butylene or a mixture of these. R3 is H, -OH, -OR4, -[R5-O]p-R6, C1-6-alkyl or an oxygen anion. R4 is C1-6-alkyl, C2-6-alkenyl or C2-6-alkynyl. R6 is H, C1-6-alkyl, C2-6-alkenyl, C2-6-alkynyl, -SO3R a, -P(O)OR b OR c, -CH2CO2R d, or -C(O)R e, R a, R d independently is H, inorganic or organic cations. R b, R c independently is H, inorganic or organic cations, C1-6-alkyl, C2-6-alkenyl or C2-6-alkynyl. R e is C1-22-alkyl, C2-22-alkenyl, C2-22-alkynyl, C6-22-aryl Or C7-22-alkylaryl, n, m and p independently is 1 to 30. A- is an agriculturally acceptable anion, or, if R3 is an oxygen anion, A- is absent. A method for preparing the adjuvant, and a method for controlling undesirable pest, vegetation, pest attack and/or for regulating the growth of plants.
