Abstract: A distributed color selection and coordination system including a remote computer communicatively coupled to a server. The remote computer configured to select a starting color and access a database in the server to find one o r more complementary colors. The colors in the database arranged in a predetermined relationship with other colors in the database, the relationsh ip between colors based on color theory. The remote computer being capable of storing personal information and color selections on the server. An in-store kiosk is communicatively coupled to the server and configured to execute col or selection and coordination software. The in-store kiosk being capable of retrieving stored personal information and color selections from the server which was previously stored from the remote computer.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed and include at least one light-emitting diode (LED) array, and each LED of the at least one LED array is associated with a respective paint color chip location of a display assembly. The system also includes an LED control circuit in communication with each LED and a processor configured to execute instructions stored in a nontransitory memory. The instructions include, in response to receiving an input corresponding to a selection of a first paint color chip: determining a first paint color chip location within the display assembly based on the first paint color chip; identifying an LED of the at least one LED array, wherein the LED is associated with the first paint color chip location; and transmitting an activation signal to the LED control circuit to activate the LED and illuminate the first paint color chip location.
