Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine particle dispersion in which when a solvent of a block polymer is replaced, the polymer is restrained from being precipitated, and which has extremely low metal concentration and is excellent in dispersion stability and from which organic matter contained therein can be removed at low temperature.SOLUTION: A fine particle dispersant is produced by a production method comprising: a step (a) of dissolving a block polymer which includes a hydrophobic unit shown by general formula (1) and a hydrophilic unit that is shown by general formula (2) and has oxyalkylene in a side chain thereof, in a good solvent to prepare a polymer solution; a step (b) of adding a nonpolar solvent thereto to concentrate the polymer solution; and a step (c) of adding an inorganic fine particle thereto and agitating them. A transition metal is further incorporated in the polymer solution so that the content of the transition metal is 10-200 ppm based on the mass of the block polymer.
