Abstract:
An assembly for securing an openable aperture closure member (11) in closed position relative to an aperture defines by a main frame (12), the aperture closure member (11) including a mechanically rotational element (24, 44, 54) for securing said closure member (11) to the frame (12), the assembly for securing comprising a push and/or pull actuation assembly (35) for easing the securing and/or releasing process for the aperture closure member, the actuation assembly including a handle bar (26) and at least one connecting member (37) which operably connects the handle bar (36) to the mechanical element (24, 44, 54); wherein the push and/or pull actuation assembly (35) is adapted to be translationally movable by an operator and the connecting member (37) is adapted to convert translational movement of the actuation assembly (35) into rotational forcing movement of the mechanically rotational element (24, 44, 54).
Abstract:
A skylight for installation on a roof of a building is provided. The skylight includes a frame that has a plurality of elements and defines an interior opening. A mounting bracket with a first and second leg is included. The first leg of the mounting bracket is connected to one of the elements of the frame, and the second leg may have a guide structure with at least one opening that extends at an angle with respect to the second leg. The guide structure may be used for securing the mounting bracket and skylight to the roofing structure. The skylight may be provided with a flashing profile that has a rigid section attached to one of the elements of the frame and a flexible section attached to the rigid section. The rigid and flexible sections may extend along the longitudinal lengths of two different elements of the frame. The skylight may be provided with both the mounting bracket and the rigid and flexible flashing sections as discussed above in accordance with various exemplary embodiments of the present invention.
Abstract:
A window for installation in a roof includes a window frame with frame pieces and mounting brackets. Each bracket includes an angular bracket member with first and second legs connected integrally with each other, and a substantially plate-shaped base member having an opening for receiving fasteners and is connected with the outer side wall of the frame piece. The angular bracket member is connected with the base member such that, in a transportation position of the window, the second leg of the angular bracket member protrudes inwards in relation to the base member, and, in an installation position, the second leg protrudes outwards. Locking mechanism locks the first leg relative to the base member in the installation position, and adjusting mechanism adjusts the position of the angular bracket member in at least a transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the frame piece of the window frame.
Abstract:
The window frame structure of the roof window is secured to the main frame structure within a predetermined range of the opening angle by means of a securing device comprising at least one torsion member. The torsion member is torsionally biased in the opening direction of the window and includes engagement means at a distance from the pivot axis for engagement with corresponding engagement means on the window frame structure. The securing device is automatically activated and deactivated during mounting and dismounting of the window frame from the main frame.
Abstract:
In a window with a frame of extruded profile members the exterior side of an edge portion of a thermo pane is supported by a first flange portion of the profile member and the inside by a glazing bead connected with the frame profile member. The main frame mainly consists of wood profiles, the exterior sides of which are covered by weather-resisting coverings. A hinge member at the top of the window comprises an edge portion (28) of an extruded profile member (27) forming a hinge pivot firmly connected to the main frame portion (20) at this side and a hook-shaped wall portion (6) of the opposite frame profile member (1) forming a hinge blade. At one of the other sides of the window an arrangement is provided to ensure engagement of said hinge pivot and hinge blade forming portions in the closed position of the window. Such arrangements may comprise a sliding block (31) arranged displaceably in a track in the frame profile member, which block can be moved between a position opposite a retaining device anchored in the main frame structure for permanently securing the frame in case of a fixed window and a position in which it can be connected to a motion transfer member which is guided in a recess in the wood profile of the main frame for complete accommodation of the motion transfer member in the closed position of an openable window.
Abstract:
In a window for installation in an inclined roof (1) the main frame (2; 3) includes a top-hinged upper window frame (12) and a bottom-hinged lower window frame (4) to be opened outwards into horizontal and vertical positions to form a shedroof above and a breast wall of a balcony-like enlargement. The lower frame (4) is hinged to the main frame (2; 3) in such a manner that its bottom section (4') in the open position is displaced downwards from the bottom section (2 ) of the main frame to reduce the height of the top edge of the frame above the latter bottom section.
