    Abstract: A method for controlling communication between a remote device and a control server includes sending, over a long range radio communication link, to a number of remote devices, a number of reduced packets, each of the number of reduced packets causing each of the number of remote devices to generate a reduced response packet, the reduced response packet indicating a status of each of the number of remote devices, receiving, from a number of responding remote devices, a number of actual reduced response packets to identify when a remote device is in a report state, examining status data related to each of the number of remote devices, the status data comprising a number of attributes include a remote device reduced packet, a remote device reduced response packet, and a number of remote device attributes, when a fault is detected, generating a remote devices fault report, and transmitting, to a control server, a remote device fault report.

    Abstract: A broadband helical microstrip antenna having a small foot print is disclosed. A PCB (printed circuit board) has a first planar side opposite a second planar side with dielectric material therebetween. The first planar side comprising a plurality of spaced apart non-linear antenna segments, each non-linear antenna segment having one or more electrical vias to the second planar side of the printed circuit board. The second planar side comprising a plurality of spaced apart parallel linear antenna segments. The plurality of non-linear antenna segments and the plurality of linear antenna segments form the broadband helical microstrip antenna symmetrical about a center line formed by a centered linear antenna segment of the plurality of spaced apart parallel linear antenna segments of the second planar side.

    Abstract: A secure remote actuation system may comprise a remote input receptor and a network. The remote input receptor may comprise a user interface for receiving user inputs from a user and one or more data connection ports. The network may comprise a combination of computer systems interconnected by telecommunications equipment or cables allowing information to be exchanged. The network may also comprise a network device for obtaining the user inputs from the remote input receptor. One or more acceptable inputs may be stored on the network. In the present invention, the network device obtains the user inputs from the remote input receptor while the user is using the user interface and then the network compares the user inputs to the acceptable inputs.

    Abstract: A secure remote actuation system may comprise a remote input receptor, network device and a network. The remote input receptor may comprise a user interface for receiving user inputs from a user. The network may store acceptable inputs. The network may further comprise a network device for obtaining and storing the user inputs from the remote input receptor and communicating with the network. In the present invention, the network device obtains the user inputs from the remote input receptor while the user is using the user interface. The network then compares the user inputs to the acceptable inputs and actuates one or more devices based on a result of the comparison.
