    Abstract: A user equipment configured for use in a wireless communication system (10) is configured for transmitting a random access preamble signal (16). The wireless communication device (14) in particular is configured to generate a random access preamble signal (16) that comprises multiple symbol groups (18), with each symbol group (18) on a single tone during a different time resource, according to a frequency hopping pattern that hops the random access preamble signal (16) from at least one of the symbols groups (18) to an adjacent symbol group (18) over a fixed frequency distance and hops the random access preamble signal (16) from at least one of the symbols groups (18) to an adjacent symbol group (18) over a pseudo random frequency distance. Each symbol group (18) comprises one or more symbols. The user equipment is also configured to transmit the random access preamble signal (16).

    Abstract: A user equipment (16) is configured for operation in a narrowband wireless communication system (10). The user equipment (16) is configured to detect receipt of a narrowband positioning reference signal (20) that comprises a narrowband reference signal sequence. The narrowband reference signal sequence is a subsequence of a wideband reference signal sequence. The wideband reference signal sequence is configured for a wideband frequency bandwidth that is wider than a maximum frequency bandwidth defined for the narrowband wireless communication system (10). The user equipment (16) is also configured to perform a positioning measurement using the narrowband positioning reference signal (20).

    Abstract: Systems and methods for uplink transmission timing are provided. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a wireless device in a cellular communications network includes receiving a transmission, from a network node, in a downlink slot; determining a reference uplink slot index in an uplink frame timing of the wireless device where the reference uplink slot index corresponds to the downlink slot in which the transmission was received; and transmitting an uplink transmission in response to the received transmission in an uplink slot a number of slots, K, after the determined reference uplink slot index. This may enable transmission in satellite radio access networks by establishing the transmission timing relationships that are suitable for long propagation delays and the large differential delay in a spotbeam in satellite communications systems that may range from sub- milliseconds to tens of milliseconds.

    Abstract: An example method in a user equipment comprises generating (1220) a random access preamble signal and transmitting (1230) the random access preamble signal. This generating of the random access preamble signal comprises generating a Single-Carrier Frequency-Division Multiple Access, SC-FDMA, random access preamble signal comprising two or more consecutive preamble symbol groups, each preamble symbol group comprising a cyclic prefix portion and a plurality of identical symbols occupying a single subcarrier of the SC-FDMA random access preamble signal. The single subcarrier for at least one of the preamble symbol groups corresponds to a first subcarrier frequency and the single subcarrier for an immediately subsequent one of the preamble symbol groups corresponds to a second subcarrier frequency.

    Abstract: Embodiments herein relate for example to a method performed by a wireless device in a first wireless communication system that is deployed on a frequency resource. The wireless device receives information indicating a PRB offset and a corresponding channel raster offset. The channel raster offset is an offset in frequency between a channel raster, used by the wireless device (105) in a cell search process, and the frequency resource. The PRB offset indicates an offset between the frequency resource and an inner frequency resource on which a second wireless communication system is deployed. In the frequency domain, the second wireless communication system is deployed on at least one higher frequency resource above the inner frequency resource and at least one lower frequency resource below the inner frequency resource. The wireless device determines, based on the received information, an adjustment in frequency applicable for the frequency resource on which the first wireless communication system is deployed.
