Abstract:
A Gateway node for use in a Proxy Mobile IP network. The Gateway node is provided with a receiver for receiving a registration request sent from an Authentication, Authorization and Accounting server in a visited network. The request comprises an identifier of a home network or a Mobile Node. The receiver is also arranged to receive a binding update message sent from a Proxy Mobile Agent in the visited network, the binding update message comprising an identifier of the home network or Mobile Node. A processor is also provided for associating the registration request with the binding update message using the identifier of the home network or Mobile Node.

Un método para el encaminamiento eficiente en una red de comunicación inalámbrica de multi-salto,comprendiendo el método las etapas de: obtener información del estado del enlace entre nodos de la red; actualizar un elemento de encaminamiento (101) con la citada información del estado del enlace, utilizando unmodelo predictivo en el cual el estado en el futuro cercano de al menos un enlace almacenado en el elementode encaminamiento es anticipado o extrapolado basándose en la información del estado del enlace, tomandoel citado modelo predictivo la citada información del estado del enlace de mediciones de la calidad de radioy/o del enlace considerando la potencia de la señal junto con un parámetro de desvanecimiento o unparámetro de velocidad de variación recibidos relativos a la señal recibida; determinar una ruta de acuerdo con la citada información del estado del enlace y la potencia de la señalmedida con respecto al contenido del tráfico y la consideración del tipo y/o propiedades del tráfico, y lainformación del estado del enlace comprendida en el elemento de encaminamiento; y encaminar el tráfico de acuerdo con la citada ruta determinada.

The present invention generally relates to a node and method for quality of service (QoS) control. The present invention particularly relates, but is not limited to, a technology that enables QoS control for a communication that is based on a protocol such as the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), which does not mandate the use of a session description protocol (SDP) message.
