Abstract: The system has an intraocular lens (14) having a peripheral part (24) and a central part (22) of negative power. A positive power lens (16) is placed in a spectacle frame. The lenses are adapted to produce a magnified image of an object in fundus of eye (4) and the lens (14) produces a shadow image of the object of size lying between 20 and 50 micrometer in the fundus for pupil (8) with diameter of 1.5 millimeter. An independent claim is also included for a determination method by optimization of retinal image magnification system.

Abstract: In the image processing method, a first two-dimensional image (l(x, y)) of a three-dimensional scene is obtained. Each pixel location of the first image is associated with a respective distance parameter (z(x, y)) representing a distance of a viewer's eye to an object of the scene appearing at this pixel location in the first image. A respective spreading parameter (Fd(x, y)) is determined for each pixel location as a function of the distance parameter associated with this pixel location, of a dioptric power (Pcorr) of a portion of a correction lens simulated as placed along a ray extending between the viewer's eye and the object of the scene appearing at said pixel location in the first image, and of a simulated maximum accommodation power (Pacc) of the viewer's eye. A second, blurred two-dimensional image (l'(x, y)) is generated from the first image using a local convolution kernel varying across the image. This kernel can be made sparse, i.e. with a number of non-zero points much smaller than the number of points of a blur region whose dimension is given by the spreading parameter.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining a value of a global sensitivity parameter (Sgsph, Sgcyl, Sgaxis, Sgasr, Sg J0, SgJ45, Soverall) of a subject, said global sensitivity parameter being relative to the sensitivity of said subject to a variation of at least a dioptric optical feature of at least an ophthalmic lens placed in front of at least one eye of said subject, comprising the following steps: a) determining (100) a single value of at least a first sensitivity parameter of said subject, relative to the sensitivity of the subject to a variation of a first dioptric optical feature of at least a first ophthalmic lens, b) determining (110) a single value of at least a second sensitivity parameter of said subject, relative to the sensitivity of the subject to a variation of a second dioptric optical feature of at least a second ophthalmic lens, each of the first and second sensitivity parameters being respectively related to the smallest variation of said first and second dioptric optical feature that may be perceived by the subject, c) using computing means to determine (120) said value of the global sensitivity parameter taking into account a combination of said single values of the first and second sensitivity parameters. It also related to methods using this value and a system for performing this method.
