A method of manufacturing an ink composition is provided and includes the steps of dispersing a coloring material in a dispersion medium to provide a dispersion, and then adding an electric charge generator to the dispersion to form charged particles, in which heating treatment is carried out after the addition of an electric charge generator.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative lithographic printing plate precursor which cures with high sensitivity upon infrared laser exposure and has a wide heating latitude in preheat treatment, and which even when preheat-treated at a low temperature, can form an image and suppresses the occurrence of a residual film in a non-image area. SOLUTION: The negative lithographic printing plate precursor has on a support an image recording layer containing (A) a compound which is decomposed under light or heat to generate an acid, (B) a crosslinking agent represented by general formula (I), (C) a binder polymer and (D) an infrared absorbent. In the formula, L 1 represents a linking group having a total number of atoms of ≤50; R 1 and R 2 each represent a hydrocarbon group, alkoxy, a halogen atom or nitro; and R 3 and R 4 each represent H or a hydrocarbon group. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original film for a lithographic printing plate and a lithographic printing method using the same, capable of image recording and on-press development by a laser, superior in on-press developability and print wear resistance, and restraining a very small spot-like stain. SOLUTION: This original film for the lithographic printing plate has an intermediate layer, an image forming layer and a protective layer in this order on a support, and includes a copolymer B having at least (a1) a repetitive unit having at least one of an ethylenic unsaturate bond and (a2) a repetitive unit having at least one of a functional group of interacting with a support surface in the intermediate layer. The original film for the lithographic printing plate is characterized by including a copolymer A including a specific structural unit having a carboxyl group and a specific structural unit having a sulfonic group and including no ethylenic unsaturated bond, in at least one of the intermediate layer and the image forming layer. The original film for the lithographic printing plate is installed in a printer after exposing an image by an infrared laser, or can be provided for printing by performing on-press development processing by supplying printing ink and wetting water by exposing the image by the infrared laser after being installed in the printer. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original planographic printing plate that allows image recording using infrared laser beams, can provide a large amount of good printed matter with a practical amount of energy, is excellent in on-machine developability and printing resistance, and particularly includes improved stain resistance, and a planographic printing method using it. SOLUTION: The original planographic printing plate includes on support an image recording layer that can be removed by means of printing ink and/or dampening water, the image recording layer containing a chelating agent. The planographic printing method includes either exposing the original planographic printing plate to an infrared laser beam in such a manner as to create an image, after mounting the plate in a printer, or mounting the plate in the printer after exposing it to an infrared laser beam in such a manner as to create an image, then supplying the printing ink and the dampening water, removing the portion of the image recording layer unexposed to the infrared beam, and performing printing. Preferably, an undercoat layer between the support and the image recording layer preferably contains a polymer having a base-absorbing group, a polymerizable group, and a hydrophilic group. SOLUTION: This ink composition is provided by containing an organic solvent, a polymerizable monomer, a photopolymerization initiator and a lipophilic polymer, and having 130 to 210°C range boiling point of the organic solvent, 40 to 99 mass% content of the organic solvent and also 1 to 25 mass% content of the lipophilic polymer. The method for preparing the planographic printing plate comprises a process of forming an image part by ejecting the ink composition by using an inkjet-recording method on a supporting body, a process of evaporating the solvent at ≤45°C temperature from the image part consisting of the ink composition and formed on the supporting body, and a process of performing a light-exposure at ≤45°C printing surface temperature.
