A lithographic printing plate precursor, which comprises: a support; an image-recording layer; and a protective layer, in this order, wherein at least one of the image-recording layer and the protective layer comprises a phosphonium salt having a specific structure, and a lithographic printing process, which comprises: exposing a lithographic printing plate precursor; supplying an oil-based ink and a fountain solution comprising a phosphonium salt having a specific structure to the exposed lithographic printing plate precursor on a printing machine to remove an unexposed area of an image-recording layer; and conducting printing.

A lithographic printing plate precursor capable of forming an image without alkali development, comprising a hydrophilic support and a laser-sensitive photopolymerizable layer, wherein the photopolymerizable layer or other layer included in the lithographic printing plate precursor contains a copolymer containing at least a repeating unit having at least one ethylenically unsaturated bond and a repeating unit having at least two functional groups capable of interacting with a surface of the support or a copolymer containing at least a repeating unit having at least two ethylenically unsaturated bonds and a repeating unit having at least one functional group capable of interacting with a surface of the support.

A lithographic printing plate precursor is provided and has a porous aluminum support, (1) a layer containing a water-soluble polymer resin having a hydrophilic substituent adsorbable to a surface of the porous aluminum support and a sulfonic acid, and (2) an image recording layer from which unexposed areas can be removed by supplying an oil-based ink and an aqueous component thereonto on a printing machine without being subjected to development after exposure. The layer containing the water-soluble polymer resin, which has come in contact with the oil-based ink and the aqueous component, has a sulfonic acid group left therein.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key original plate for planographic printing plates which is excellent in retainability of a matting agent, flaw resistance, bonding preventability of key original plates for planographic printing plates, and setter transferability, has a good color sensor suitability and leaves less color after development, to provide a cumulative body of key original plates for planographic printing plates, and to provide a platemaking method of a key plate for planographic printing plates using the key original plate for planographic printing plates.SOLUTION: The key original plate for planographic printing plates has a non-photosensitive layer and a hydrophilic layer which includes the matting agent in this sequence on an aluminum support. Two or more of the key original plates for planographic printing plates are directly stacked without via an interleaving paper into the cumulative body of key original plates for planographic printing plates. The platemaking method of the key plate for planographic printing plates includes: a key original plate preparation step in which the key original plate for planographic printing plates is prepared; and a development step in which the key original plate for planographic printing plates is passed through a development step by an alkali development liquid to be a key plate for planographic printing plates.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-machine developing type a lithographic printing plate precursor for newspaper printing, not generating edge staining, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The lithographic printing plate precursor for newspaper printing has an infrared absorbing dye, a radical polymerization initiator, a radical polymerizable compound, and a polymer compound having polyoxyalkylen chains in the side chains on a support and further has an image recording layer capable of being developed with a printing ink and/or dampening water on a cylinder of a printer and can be obtained by processing areas within the 1 cm from the end parts of the lithographic printing plate precursor with liquid containing an organic solvent and a water-soluble resin. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planographic printing plate, including a back coat layer containing organic high polymer compound, improving adhesion resistance between plates in stacking, resistance to scar caused on the surface of a photosensitive layer side, and restraining generation of static spark and adhesion of dust in platemaking, and a layered product formed by stacking the planographic printing plates. SOLUTION: This planographic printing plate includes: a photosensitive layer on one side of an aluminum support; and a back coat layer containing a first organic high polymer compound having an antistatic ability and a second organic high polymer compound different from the first organic high polymer compound on the other side of the aluminum support. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing forme original plate capable of being developed on the machine after exposure with a laser and excellent in fine line reproducibility, plate wear and scumming resistance, and a lithographic printing method. SOLUTION: The lithographic printing forme original plate having an undercoating layer and a laser beam sensitive photopolymerization layer on a hydrophilic support and the lithographic printing method using the lithographic printing forme original plate are disclosed. The plate contains a copolymer having at least (a1) a repeating unit having an ethylenic unsaturated bond and (a2) a repeating unit having a functional group reacting with the support surface or, furthermore, (a3) a copolymer having a repeating unit with a hydrophilic group. In this case, the ethylenic unsaturated bond of (a1) or the hydrophilic group of (a3) has a specific structure where the hydrophilic group is separated from a polymer main chain with a joining group. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an lithographic printing plate which can record an image with a laser, has a successful on-press developability and printed image reproducibility, stable ink receptivity during printing and excellent resistance to plate wear, and a lithographic printing method and a method for manufacturing the lithographic printing plate.SOLUTION: The lithographic printing plate includes: on a support body, an image recording layer on which an image can be formed by removing an unexposed part through supplying an oil-based ink and an aqueous component on a printer after exposure; and a protecting layer formed on the image recording layer. The protecting layer includes an inorganic laminar compound and an organic cation. The method for manufacturing the original lithographic printing plate is also provided. In addition, the lithographic printing plate is characterized by including a phosphonium compound of a specific structure in the image recording layer and/or the protecting layer, and the printing method includes on-press development in which a dampening water containing a phosphonium compound of a specific structure is used.
