Abstract:
A communication terminal into which communication data can be input and which can receive a message signalling that at least one further communication terminal is ready to receive the communication data. Following receipt of the message, a transmission device configured to operate in a first mode, in which it sends data at a first data rate, and in a second mode, in which it sends data at a second data rate, which is higher than the first data rate, is used to send the communication data in the second mode.
Abstract:
A slave station and a method of regulating the transmission power a master station are described, which permit an estimate of the signal/interference ratio in a transmission system without sending a pilot sequence, the transmission power being regulated as a function of an estimate of the signal/interference ratio. In a transmission system, in particular a CDMA transmission system, useful signals assigned to different communicating subscribers are separated by orthogonal codes. A useful signal assigned to one communicating subscriber is derived by using one of the codes from a signal received at least in the slave station from the master station and is compared as a reference signal with the received signal to estimate the signal/interference ratio.
Abstract:
In a method for requesting media replication in a collaborative communication session, a message is sent which specifies that a communication medium for a collaborative communication session, which is currently being transmitted to at least one terminal, should additionally be transmitted to at least one other terminal, with the at least one other terminal being indicated in the message as the recipient of the communication medium. In a method for assigning a communication medium for a collaborative communication session, a corresponding message is received, and the communication medium is assigned to the at least one other terminal as the recipient of the communication medium. The methods are carried out by appropriately designed apparatuses.
Abstract:
A data transmission system includes a transmitter configured to transmit a data signal in the form of a data stream of data bursts in at least two transmission modes to a receiver, in the first mode a reference signal being transmitted by the transmitter in each data burst and being evaluated in the receiver, and in the second mode no reference signal being transmitted by the transmitter in each data burst. In the second mode, in place of the reference signal, additional redundancy data of the data signal are transmitted in each data burst.
Abstract:
A method of assigning transmission channels in a telecommunications network and a user station are provided, which facilitate an increase in the capacity of a telecommunications network. The telecommunications network may include multiple base stations and mobile stations, the transmission channels being provided for transmitting signals between the base stations and the mobile stations. In uncoordinated operation of the base stations, at least one of the transmission channels is assigned for transmitting signals between one of the base stations and one of the mobile stations as a function of a channel measurement, in which the transmission power on all possible transmission channels is measured, if the previously measured transmission power on this transmission channel is minimal.

Abstract:
For regulating a transmission power in a transmission channel of a transmission from a transmitting station in a transmission system, a transmit power command is received from a transmission receiving station, the transmission power in the transmission channel is changed on a basis of the received transmit power command, and an amount of the change in the transmission power at the transmitting station is determined by determining a ratio between a current transmission power and an average over time of the transmission power, such that the amount of the change is dependent on a value of the ratio, with the amount of change increasing as the value of the ratio increases.
Abstract:
A method for carrying out a survey of a plurality of participant communication devices, and corresponding communication devices. In order to carry out a survey of a plurality of participant communication devices, each of these communication devices is successively assigned an exclusive transmission right to transmit at least one useful message during an authorization period, on the basis of a specific request signal, while the other participant communication devices are only assigned a reception right to receive at least one useful message. The communication device authorized to transmit determines a time window for each participant communication device to respond to the survey, within which the respective participant communication device can transmit its response signal in that it sends at least once its own specific request signal as response signal in order to request the exclusive transmission right.
Abstract:
A method and a system are described for the transmission of data between one base station and several mobile stations via radio channels, the data streams each differing in terms of a code. In a modulator, a pre-equalization of the signals is performed in which the transmission properties of all the radio channels and the different codes of all the radio channels are taken into account.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a data transfer method for use in a CDMA system operating in the TDD mode. A data signal is transmitted in the form of a data stream of data bursts of different users between a first station and a second station via a multiplicity of antennas, and a reference signal is transmitted in connection with the specific data burst. In a first step, a reference signal is transmitted from the second station to the first station. In a second step, a channel estimation is performed in the first station based on the reference signal that is received from the second station. In a third step, the first station transmits a data burst to the second station via the multiplicity of antennas, it being possible to modify the transmission signals of various antennas having various amplitude and phase factors in accordance with the channel estimation.
