Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make suture and fixation sure by fusion adhering a low m.p. component to a ligation material for medical treatment to prevent the loosening of a knot at the time of ligation of the material. SOLUTION: This ligation material for medical treatment is constituted by combining the components varying in the m.p. The material which does not melt or decompose at the m.p. of the low m.p. component and has a creep phenomenon at the body temp. to a lesser extent is used as the high m.p. component. Namely, the material which is set in the glass rubber transition point to the body temp. or above and hardly creeps under production conditions is used. The ligation material comprises the fiber or fiber knitting formed by using the low m.p. component for sheaths and the high m.p. components for cores and coating the surfaces with the low m.p. component. The method of knitting the plural fibers varying in the m.p. is equally well. The knot is melted and welded by applying an iron to the knot at the time of ligation of the ligation material 5. There is no change and the looseness does not occur even if the distance between B and C is measured by setting the ligation material 5 provided with the knot in a looseness measuring instrument and applying repetitive load on the knot by a weight 6.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a cross-linked polysaccharide nonproblematic in poor strengths and early decomposability and capable of being actually used as a medical material by mixing an organic compound containing at least two aldehyde groups with an aqueous uncross-linked polysaccharide solution and drying the obtained mixture to form a sheety solid. CONSTITUTION: An organic compound having at least two aldehyde groups (e.g. glutaraldehyde) is mixed with an aqueous solution of an uncross-linked polysaccharide (e.g. hyaluronic acid), and the obtained mixture is dried to form a sheety solid. The thus obtained solid is one comprising a polysaccharide cross-linked through a hemiacetal or acetal bond formed by the organic compound having at least two aldehyde groups. According to the above process, a cross-linked polysaccharide nonproblematic in conventional poor strengths and early decomposability and capale of being satisfactorily and actually used as e.g. an adhesion inhibitor, a substrate for nervous regeneration, an artificial skin or a wound covering material.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To save the consumption of chemicals and enable discoloration of colored waste water at low cost, by treating the dye waste water containing phthalocyanine metal complex by Fenton method, and removing the precipitate of produced special insoluble complex salt. CONSTITUTION:Phthalocyanine dye waste water containing copper, Ni, etc. is treated by Fenton method in a purification tank 1 by adding H2O2 and iron salt (Fe or Fe ) according to a known method. At this time, pH is adjusted to about 2 to 4, and a complex salt consisting of the dye and trivalent iron is produced. This complex salt is removed in a precipitation tank 5 which is newly installed, and the waste water is sent to a conventional coagulation tank 2, and NaOH is added to adjust pH to about 8 to 10 to promote the growth of flocs. Then, the solid matter is separated again in a precipitation tank 3, and the supernatant is neutralized with sulfuric acid to pH7, and is discharged. From the coprecipitation of complex salt removed above, Fe is separated and recovered to be reused. This method, as compared with the conventional method, excels in the discoloration effect and COD removal effect.
