Abstract:
A method for detecting a transition of an echo path used for an estimation of the transfer function of a system by using an adaptive filter, from an echo caused by a signal transmitted through an input terminal of the system at which the response of the transmitted signal is received. The method includes the steps of calculating the amount of the whole or the first delay portion of an impulse response of the system, calculating the amount of the remaining delay portion of the impulse response of the system, calculating the ratio between the amount of the whole or the first delay portion of the impulse response and the amount of the remaining delay portion of the impulse response, and deciding an occurrence of a transition of the characteristics of the system based on the calculated ratio. The transition of the characteristics of the system is discriminated from a hindering signal produced in the system in the decision making process.
Abstract:
A steering gear ratio changing apparatus includes a first and second steering shafts arranged to be coaxial with each other. The first steering shaft is coupled to a steering wheel of a vehicle and rotatable integral therewith. The second steering shaft is coupled to a steering gear mechanism and arranged to be rotatable. First pawls are formed on one end of the first steering shaft and arranged at equal intervals along the circumferential direction of the shaft. Second pawls are formed on one end of the second steering shaft, which oppose the end of the first steering shaft, and are arranged at equal intervals along the circumferential direction of the shaft. The first and second steering shafts are coupled with each other by a torsion bar and held thereby so that the first and second pawls are engage with one another with a gap between any two adjacent first and second pawls. The width of the gaps is adjusted by actuators so as to cause a relative rotation between the first and second steering shafts.
Abstract:
An ignition timing control device comprising a vacuum advance mechanism of the type controlling the ignition timing in response to the negative pressure in a carburetor, a negative pressure line between the carburetor and the vacuum advance mechanism, and a thermostatic valve for opening the negative pressure line to the surrounding atmosphere only when the temperature of an engine is within a predetermined temperature range.
Abstract:
A method for designing and customizing a furniture product on a screen of a computer comprising displaying a plurality of rectangular parallelepiped spaces as a plurality of part member spaces on a screen, assembling the plurality of part member spaces on the screen such that the plurality of the part member spaces form a furniture product, providing a part member face-correlation between a face of the first part member space and a face of the second part member space that is in parallel with the face of the first part member space, moving the face of the first part member space by a predetermined distances in a perpendicular direction to the face, and displaying a three-dimensional image of the furniture product on the screen after the alteration of dimensions of the part member spaces.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a joined body manufacturing method with which the resin material is accurately attached to the first base material. The method includes: an attaching step of attaching a sheet material having resin material on one main surface of a sheet base material to a first base material such that a predetermined area is covered; a forming step of forming a slit for ease of separation on the sheet material attached to the first base material in accordance with the predetermined area; and a separating step of separating part of the resin material inside the slit from the sheet base material such that the part of the resin material inside the slit remains on the predetermined area of the first base material and part of the resin material outside the slit does not remain on the first base material.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an information processing apparatus including: a sensor information acquisition section configured to acquire sensor information outputted from a sensor for detecting a user motion and sensor information outputted from a sensor for obtaining a user current location; an action pattern detection block configured to analyze sensor information indicative of a user motion to detect an action pattern corresponding to the acquired sensor information from a plurality of action patterns obtained by classifying user's actions that are executed in a comparatively short time; a keyword conversion block configured to convert, on the basis of the sensor information indicative of a current location, the information into at least one keyword associated with the current location; and a text extraction block configured to extract a text for user presentation from a plurality of texts on the basis of the detected action pattern and the generated at least one keyword.
Abstract:
A gaming machine is provided which includes: an operation sequence table 211 storing an operation sequence in which one or more groups of time-series input timings are associated with operation means to be operated for input by a player based on the group of the input timings; operation instructing means 202 that outputs an operation instruction based on the operation sequence; evaluation means 205 that evaluates a game score based on comparison between the input timings and an operation timings; a criterion table 212 storing a criterion for determining a master level of the player; a master level determining means 203 that determines a master level of the player based on the criterion; and operation sequence changing means 204 that changes a part of at least one group of input timings, in the case where the player has a master level equal to or more than a predetermined value.
Abstract:
The inventions provides a method for immunologically determining a keratan sulfate level which method includes bringing an anti-keratan sulfate monoclonal antibody into contact with a biological sample, the anti-keratan sulfate monoclonal antibody exhibiting a relative reaction specificity between keratan sulfate-I and keratan sulfate-II represented by IC50KS-I/KS-II of 0.4 to 5, to thereby provide a signal; and detecting keratan sulfate contained in the biological sample from the signal. On the basis of the method, the invention also provides a joint disease detection method and a method for assessing the effect of a remedy for a joint disease and a candidate substance therefor. Through these methods, a very small amount of keratan sulfate contained in a sample, can be determined. Particularly, these methods can determine, at high-sensitivity and high-specificity, the total keratan sulfate including keratan sulfate-I, which have been difficult to determine through a conventional technique. The methods also enables detect a joint disease and assess the effect of a remedy for a joint disease or a candidate substance therefor.
