Abstract: The present invention provides novel cyclic phosphorus-containing compounds, namely hydroxyl-functional phospholene-1-oxides, serving as highly efficient reactive flame retardants in urethane systems, particularly in flexible polyurethane foams, rigid polyurethane foams and rigid polyisocyanurate foams. The invention further provides fire-retarded polyurethane compositions comprising said hydroxyl-functional phospholene-1-oxides.

Abstract: The present invention relates to solid phosphate ester, which can be used as a flame retardant in treatments for textile substrates. More specifically, the treatments for textiles substrates can be used as flame retardant formulations for application on textile fabrics while substantially maintaining the desired characteristics (aesthetic or textural properties) of the textile. The present invention thus further provides for articles having these phosphate ester formulations applied thereon, and of processes of applying them onto various textile substrates.
