    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frizzy hair-correcting method accompanying the reduction of hair keratin, to provide a method for maintaining or recovering the corrected state, and to provide a composition used for the methods.
    SOLUTION: This hair-treating method comprises processes A and B, wherein hair is shaped in one or more of the processes. The process A: sequentially applying the hair with a first agent containing a reducing agent and then with a second agent containing an oxidizing agent and having a buffering ability and a pH value of 1 to 5, washing the hair with water and then drying the hair (the first agent or the second agent contains an organic acid (A) or its salt). The process B: sequentially applying the hair with the first agent containing the reducing agent, with an intermediate treating agent having a buffering ability and a pH value of 1 to 5 and then with the second agent containing the oxidizing agent, washing the hair with water and then drying the hair (the first agent or the intermediate treating agent contains the organic acid (A) or its salt). The organic acid (A): a compound which has a 3 to 11C non-aromatic hydrophobic group or a 4 to 18C aromatic hydrophobic group totally containing, and an acid group such as a sulfo group or a sulfonate group. Thereby, an extremely high frizzy hair-correcting effect is obtained by the simple operations of such the extents as those of ordinary straight permanent operations.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an animal hair fiber structure which comprises animal hair fibers such as wool and is set to a desired shape with a specific treating agent, to provide a method for treating the structure, and to provide a method for straightening the shrunk hairs of the animal hair fibers with the treating agent.
    SOLUTION: This animal hair fiber structure is impregnated with an organic acid (A) or its salt. The method for treating the animal hair fiber structure comprises impregnating the animal hair fiber structure with the compound. And the method for straightening the shrunk hairs of the animal hair fibers comprises impregnating the animal hair fibers with the compound. The organic acid (A) is a compound comprising a totally 3 to 11C non-aromatic hydrophobic group or a totally 4 to 18C aromatic hydrophobic group and an acid group selected from sulfo group, sulfate group, phospho group, phosphate group and carboxy group. Thereby, the animal hair fiber structure can simply be set to a desired shape in an excellent setting property, and the shrunk hairs of the animal hair fibers can simply be straightened in excellent shrunk hair- straightening efficiency.
