PURPOSE: To obtain an ultraviolet absorber weak in photocatalytic activity, excellent in ultraviolet absorption capability and high in transparency in the visible light range. CONSTITUTION: This ultraviolet absorber comprises particles of a double oxide having a perovskite structure and represented by the general formula: ABO3 (wherein A and B are each a metal element; and O is an oxygen element) or its solid soln., wherein the vol.-average particle size thereof is at most 1μm and the crystallite size thereof as measured by X-ray diffraction is 150 to 300Å.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable the obtaining of platy barium sulfate, having a narrow particle size distribution and good in optical characteristics and improve the feeling of use such as extensibility and adhesion of a cosmetic using the platy barium sulfate. CONSTITUTION:This method for producing barium sulfate is to make a barium compound react with a compound of sulfuric acids at respective concentrations of 0.001-0.1mol/l and (1/10) to (5/1) molar ratio in starting reaction in the presence of 0.0002-0.02wt.% sparingly soluble crystallite under conditions of pH1.0-12.0 and 50-100 deg.C reactional temperature. Furthermore, the platy basium sulfate is obtained thereby and the cosmetic uses this platy barium sulfate.

CONSTITUTION:A cation exchanger is fixed on an electrode and the electrode is immersed in a electrolytic solution and a conjugated high polymer-cation exchanger composite film is formed on the electrode by electrolytic polymerization and the composite film is covered with a solution of mutually incompatible or slightly compatible two or more kind of resins and electrolytic polymer of conjugated polymer compound is preferentially composited to the resultant sea phase having phase separation structure and then an island part is removed to provide the aimed discharge film.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dissimilar metal element-doped titanate nanosheet dispersion having small content of amine and/or phosphonium and excellent in transparency and a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The dissimilar metal element-doped titanate nanosheet dispersion is a dispersion of a titanate nanosheet containing a titanate nanosheet (A) obtained by doping the dissimilar metal element (M) having maximum valency of ≥5 in the oxide and a titanate nanosheet containing amine and/or phosphonium, wherein the concentration ratio [([N]+[P])/([Ti]+[M])] by mol (in the formula, each of [N], [P], [Ti] and [M] is respectively the concentration ratio of nitrogen atom, phosphorus atom, titanium atom and the dissimilar metal element (M) by mol) is ≤0.02. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion liquid of a layered titanate nano sheet, which has low amine content and excellent transparency and to provide a solid of the layered titanate nano sheet and methods for respectively manufacturing the dispersion liquid of the layered titanate nano sheet and the solid of the layered titanate nano sheet. SOLUTION: The dispersion liquid of the layered titanate nano sheet contains the layered titanate nano sheet and a polyol and is characterized in that N/Ti molar ratio is ≤0.2. The method for manufacturing the dispersion liquid of the layered titanate nano sheet comprises the steps of: mixing the polyol with an amine-containing dispersion liquid of the layered titanate nano sheet having >0.2 N/Ti molar ratio; and removing amines from the obtained mixture. The solid of a polyol-containing layered titanate nano sheet is obtained by removing a dispersion liquid medium from the dispersion liquid of the layered titanate nano sheet.
