Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of functions by providing between a packing table and a supporting table an auxiliary tightening member which wraps a wrapping sheet more tightly around an item to be packed and a holding member which is provided on the supporting table to prevent the item from rising up from the supporting table. CONSTITUTION:If an operator forces downward an item A to be packed from above into an opening 23a of a feed part 23, a wrapping sheet 1 is pressed against the side surface of the item A by an elastic press action of the part 23 so that the sheet is wrapped in a closing direction tightly around the item A. And the item A pushes and expands a plurality of auxiliary tightening members 11 provided below an opening 2a and falls on a supporting table 3, while the item A draws the sheet 1. If a start switch is operated, an operation arm 20 at a vertical position is changed over to a horizontal position so that holding arms 18 on the right and left are pivoted toward the item A by the force of springs 19 and sponges 18a of the arms 18 press the opposite sides of the item A to hold it, thus preventing the item A from rising up from the table 3, following which an operation cylinder is contracted to lower the table 3.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a satisfactory packaging style by a method wherein a pair of auxiliary clamping members that are actuated prior to operation of a pair of clamping members for gathering up of a packaging sheet are provided for an apparatus with which an article to be packaged is thrown into an opening provided on a packaging table and is wrapped up in the packaging sheet that is gathered up. CONSTITUTION:A packaging sheet wound up in a roll is drawn out and is extended over a packaging table 2 equipped with an opening 2a to which a spherical article to be packaged is thrown in, and the article to be packaged thrown in is wrapped up with the packaging sheet that is gathered up with a circumferential brim of the opening 2a. A pair of flat plate-like clamping members 14 and 15 are provided on both sides of a support stand for supporting the packaged article from the underside so that the members can slide horizontally for approaching and separating each other, and a pair of auxiliary clamping members 12 that approach and separate each other in the direction intersecting at a right angle the sliding direction of the clamping members 14 and 15 are also provided. The auxiliary clamping members 12 are moved for approaching prior to starting of overlapping of the clamping members 14 and 15, and the upper part 1a of the packaging sheet is gathered up therewith.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To wrap reliably round vegetables, such as lettuce and cabbages, so as to prevent a portion (particularly, a wrung portion) of a wrapping sheet from being projected after wrapping in a device for automatically wrapping such vegetables. CONSTITUTION:The present device is so constructed that when an article A to be wrapped is placed into an opening of a wrapping tray on which a wrapping sheet 1 is set, the wrapping sheet 1 is wrung at the outer edge of the opening and the article A is wrapped and supported on an underlying support table 3. Then, the upper side portions of the wrapping sheet with which the article A on the support table 3 is wrapped are pinched and held by a wringing mechanism 12 from the lateral direction of said upper side portions to be wrung. The support table 3 is then lifted to press the article A against the lower face of the wringing mechanism 12, and a wrapping sheet portion projected above the wrung portion is cut off. Subsequently, an adhesive tape 4 is applied to the top end of the wrung portion after cutting and pressed by an elastic member 47, and then the wringing mechanism 12 is operated to be opened.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To bring a packaging sheet into fairly close contact with an item to be packaged for improving the finish of packaging by a method wherein a pair of holders is held in slightly askew standing pose while it is opened so as to form an accommodating space for the item to be packaged, and then returned to a specified action pose to hold the item to be packaged. CONSTITUTION:An item C to be packaged, such as a sort of vegetables, is loaded on a holding device 10 together with a packaging sheet (not indicated on the drawing) and held by a receiving pan 29 and holders 30. In this case, the receiving pan 29 is fixed on a pivot 32, and support arms 33 of the holders 30 are pivoted on brackets 34 of the receiving pan 29. Cam followers 35 of the support arms 33 are brought in contact with slide cams 36 on the pivot 32. The slide cams 36 are moved up and down by a driving motor M for sheet pressers 8 and 9. Thereby, the holders 30 in open pose are kept in slightly askew standing pose at a position lower than the a working table 31, and an accommodation space for the item C to be packaged is formed. After that, the holders 30 are set up to action pose to hold the item C to be packaged.

CONSTITUTION:By operating a first wrapping tool 18, one side end 5a of a packaging sheet 5 is folded on the upper surface of an object C to be packaged, and the holding condition of a packaging roller 28 of the first wrapping tool 18 is maintained. By operating a second wrapping tool 19 located at a diagonally opposite side from the first wrapping tool 18, one side end 5b corresponding to the packaging sheet 5 is placed over the first side end. When the side end 5b has been placed, the first wrapping tool 18 returns to a stand-by position. By operating a third wrapping tool 20, when a remaining side end 5c has been placed, the second wrapping tool 19 returns to a stand-by position. One side end 5d on which an adhesive tape 6 is attached is folded and placed on the object C by a fourth wrapping tool 21, and respective side ends 5a, 5b, 5c, 5d lapped in four layers are mutually joined.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve outward appearance of wrapping with swelling at both hem parts prevented by providing tucking means that act on base parts for tucking of both the hem parts of each one of sections of a wrapping sheet that are put being bent on an article to be wrapped. CONSTITUTION:As a wrapping sheet 5 is taken out of a sheet case 37 and is placed on a specified position with an adhesive tape 6 unwound to a specified position, the adhesive tape 6 is automatically stuck to a corner 5d of one section of the wrapping sheet 5. An article C to be wrapped is placed on an article receiving table 3, and the article C is held with an article-holding mechanism 2 that is put in operation. Then a first wrapping means 18 is actuated and the corner 5a of one section of the wrapping sheet 5 is bent and is put on the upper face of the article C, and a first wrapping-holding means 22 is kept in holding position. Then a second wrapping means 19 is actuated and a corner 5b of one section of the wrapping sheet is put over the first wrapping-holding means 22, making the first wrapping means 18 return to its waiting position. Four tucking means 40 are then actuated and four hem parts 5e, 5f are tucked therewith. A third wrapping means 20 is then actuated for putting of a corner 5c of one section of the wrapping sheet, and a fourth wrapping means 21 is actuated for bending of the corner 5d and putting the same over the article C. Overlaid corners 5a-5d are then stuck one after another with the adhesive tape 6.

When the third wrapping member finishes to overlap a part of the peripheral portions of the wrapping sheet 5 at a predetermined position, the second wrapping member 19 returns to its standby position and, subsequently, the fourth wrapping member starts to operate.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate movement and adjustment of an adhering and fixing means supply device by a method wherein a wrapping sheet is extended at a wrapping position on a wrapping desk, an adhering and fixing means is applied on an end of the sheet positioned at the outermost part and a plurality of ends are folded to be overlaid on one portion. Then a supply device 7 for feeding an adhesive tape 6 to a specific position is provided on a wrapping position where the wrapping sheet 5 is mounted, so that a piece of an adhesive tape 6 cut into a specific length is fed out with its adhesive face facing upward to a posi tion where an end to be finally folded among the ends of the wrapping sheet 5 is to be mounted. Therefore when the adhesive tape 6 is mounted on the specific position and the wrapping sheet 5 is mounted on it at the specific posi tion, the tape 6 is automatically adhered to an end of the wrapping sheet 5. Thus need of adjustment of fine positions of the adhering and fixing means supply device is eliminated.
