The right and left nipping and carrying mechanisms 10A, 10A are formed by tensively disposing a projection-having chain 10d over the driving sprockets 10a of the longitudinal transmission shafts 17, driven sprockets 10c and chain guides 65, 10b in a forward narrowed approximately triangle shape in the planar view. Packers 9B, 9B for raking and carrying the reaped grain straws are coaxially disposed to be integrally rotated together with the right and left driven sprockets 10c, 10c.
