An oven according to an idea of the present invention comprises: a case; a cooking chamber formed inside the case; and a door installed at one side of the case so as to expose/cover the cooking chamber, wherein the door comprises: an outer plate forming the exterior thereof; an inner plate spaced a predetermined distance apart from the outer plate and in contact with the cooking chamber, and a door display disposed between the outer plate and the inner plate so as to display predetermined information toward the outer plate.

The present disclosure relates to an enamel composition, a method for preparation thereof, and a cooking appliance using the same, which provide excellent cleaning performance, reduce a defect caused by carbon gases when an enamel coating is implemented on a base material made of cast iron, and provides excellent thermal shock resistance and durability. In the enamel composition according to the disclosure, components implementing glass and components having catalytic performance have an optimal component system, thereby ensuring excellent thermal shock resistance and durability. The enamel composition of the present disclosure has a component system that helps enamel cast iron as well as low carbon steel, thereby ensuring excellent cleaning performance, thermal shock resistance and durability. The enamel composition of the present disclosure is appropriate for a cooktop grate, a hob burner, and the like which directly contact a fire and are exposed to repetitive thermal shock.

Further, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the induction heating device includes a working coil including annularly wound conducting wire, a ferrite core disposed below the working coil to diffuse an alternating magnetic field generated by the working coil upward, a base plate in which the ferrite core is disposed on an upper surface of the base plate, and an insulating member attached to an outer portion of the ferrite core to insulate between the working coil and the base plate.

Described is a method for controlling an induction heating device having one or more working coils and a controller configured to perform pre-testing based on a single pulse. The method includes: selecting a working coil to be tested, performing a detection operation to detect a vessel disposed on the working coil and generate a first output pulse; comparing at least one of: a count of the first output pulse to a predetermined reference count range, or an on-duty time of the first output pulse to a predetermined reference time range; and adjusting, by the controller, a duration of an on-state of the single pulse based on (i) a result of the comparison of the count of the first output pulse to the predetermined reference count range or (ii) a result of the comparison of the on-duty time of the first output pulse to the predetermined reference time range.
