    Abstract: A fastening tool includes a tool body, an anvil, a pin-gripping part, a motor, a rotation member, a moving member, a gear part and a receiving member. The rotation member is configured to be rotationally driven around the driving axis. The moving member is coupled to the pin-gripping part and engaged with the rotation member. The moving member is configured to move along a driving axis defining a front-rear direction, in response to rotational driving of the rotation member. The gear part is shaped like a flange projecting radially outward from an outer peripheral surface of the rotation member, and has gear teeth on an outer circumference thereof. The receiving member is disposed rearward of the gear part and configured to receive, via a rear surface of the gear part, a rearward reaction force applied to the rotation member when the pin-gripping part moves frontward.

    Abstract: A work tool includes a housing, a spindle, a motor, a power-transmitting mechanism and a restricting member. The power-transmitting mechanism includes a sun member, a ring member, a carrier member and a planetary roller. One of the sun member and the ring member is configured to move together with the spindle in the front-rear direction relative to the other of the sun member and the ring member. The power-transmitting mechanism is configured to transmit power of the motor to the spindle when the sun member and the ring member relatively move toward each other in response to rearward movement of the spindle and the planetary roller gets into frictional contact with the sun member and the ring member.     Abstract: A fastening tool configured to fasten a workpiece via a multi-piece swage type fastener including a pin and a collar includes an anvil, a pin-gripping part, a driving mechanism, an electric motor, a control part and a housing. The driving mechanism is configured to move the pin-gripping part relative to the anvil in a first direction along an axis so as to cause the anvil to press the collar engaged with a shaft part of the pin in a second direction and in a radially inward direction. An operation mode of the driving mechanism can be selectively switched between a plurality of operation modes including a first mode, in which a process of fastening the workpiece is completed based on a state of the fastener, and a second mode, in which the process of fastening the workpiece is completed based on a driving state of the motor.

    Abstract: A fastening tool includes a bolt-gripping part, an anvil, a motor, and a control part. When the bolt-gripping part grips an end region of a shaft part and moves relative to the anvil in a first direction of a longitudinal-axis direction, the anvil presses a collar fitted onto the shaft part in a second direction opposite to the first direction of the longitudinal-axis direction and inward in a radial direction of the collar, so that a hollow part of the collar is crimped to a groove while the workpiece is clamped between the collar and a head part, whereby swaging of a fastener is completed while the end region remains integrated with the shaft part. The control part completes swaging of the fastener by terminating a movement of the bolt-gripping part in the first direction relative to the anvil based on driving current of the motor.

    Abstract: It is an object to provide a novel technique for releasing an intervening member of a driving member. A representative screwdriver is provided with a motor and a driving mechanism. The driving mechanism has a spindle, a lock sleeve, rollers, a driving gear, a retainer and a spring receiver. When driven with the rollers held between the lock sleeve and the driving gear, the spindle is rotated in a normal direction. The lock sleeve has an inclined part and the retainer has an inclined part. The lock sleeve and the retainer move with respect to each other in the axial direction and the circumferential direction by sliding contact between the inclined parts. This relative movement in the circumferential direction is utilized to release the holding of the rollers.

    Abstract: A dust collection device, that collects dust particles generated by an impact tool, has a feature that enables the attachment of the device to the impact tool, which is not provided with an attachment section for the device. The dust collection device has a tool body and an auxiliary handle, attached removably to the tool body, and is attached to an electric hammer that, in the lengthwise direction, linearly operates a tool bit mounted to the tip region of the tool body, and collects dust generated by the electric hammer. The dust collection device has: a dust collection unit that has a dust intake port at the tip; a dust collection hose, connected to the dust collection unit, for transferring dust to the downstream side; and a hose-holding unit that holds the dust collection hose. The hose-holding unit can be attached to and removed from the auxiliary handle.
