    Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten the time of defrosting operation, by a method wherein the air flow rate of an indoor side fan is reduced immediately before the defrosting operation, in which a four-way valve is switched to change a cycle into a reversed cycle, during heating operation. CONSTITUTION:When the frosting of an outdoor side heat exchanger is advanced, the temperature of a temperature sensitive unit 10 becomes lower than a predetermined temperature and the time of defrosting cycle is counted by a timer 10B during heating operation, a relay 9 is switched to switch the tap 8A of an indoor side fan 8 to the tap 8B of the same whereby the air rate of indoor side is reduced. When the elapse of heat accumulating time is counted by the timer 10B, the indoor side fan 8 as well as an outdoor side fan 7 are stopped and a four-way valve 2 is switched whereby defrosting operation is started. When the defrosting is finished and the temperature of the temperature sensitive unit 10A becomes higher than a predetermined temperature, a defrosting detecting unit 10 switches the four-way valve 2 and operates the indoor and outdoor fans 8, 7 to effect heating operation. According to this method, amount of heat, accumulating by heat accumulating operation, is supplied to the outdoor side heat exchanger 5 in the defrosting operation after the switching of the four-way valve 2, therefore, the amount of supplying heat is increased and the time of defrosting may be shortened.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To effect comfortable air-conditioning, in which both of a wide capacity control range and delicate capacity control are available, by a method wherein the capacity control of an inverter comperssor is harmonized with the capacity control of a pole change type compressor, in a multi-chamber air-conditioning device, in which the pole change type comperssor is connected in parallel to the inverter compressor. CONSTITUTION:Normally, the operating frequency operating means 13-1 of an outdoor machine control means 13 operates the value of detected pressure of a pressure sensor 12 and an inverter comperssor 2 is controlled delicately with an operating frequency, controlled so as to obtain an objective pressure value. When the load of air-conditioning is fluctuated within a wide range, the starting, stopping and pole changing switching of a pole change type compressor 3 are controlled by a pole change type compressor control means 13-3 employing the amount of change from the previous value of the operating frequency operated by a frequency changing amount operating means 13-2.
