Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator in which clear ice blocks having reduced cloudiness can be produced through a simple arrangement. SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises an ice making pan 14 disposed in an ice making chamber 2, a driver 15 having an output shaft 17 for turning the ice making pan 14 by a specified angle to discharge ice blocks therefrom, and a controller 26 for controlling rotation of the drive source of the driver 15, i.e. a stepping motor 16. While sustaining the temperature in the ice making chamber 2 in the range of -7 deg.C through -3 deg.C, the ice making pan 14 is shaken by the driver 15 until water supplied to the ice making pan 14 is changed to ice. When the ice blocks are separated from the ice making pan 14, the ice making pan 14 is twisted for 10 sec or longer at a twisting angle in the range of 10 deg.-30 deg..

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop and hold an icemaking tray at an origin position without locking a gear by constituting to hold a switch operated by a switch operating cam on a cam gear for rotating the tray in a section for maintaining an OFF signal when the tray is disposed at the origin position becoming horizontal. SOLUTION: In a driver for rotating a cam gear for rotating an icemaking tray by a drive gear engaged with the cam gear to rotate the tray and releasing an ice at an ice releasing position, a switch operating cam 121a is formed on a lower surface of the cam gear, and a switch 119 is closed by the cam 121a through a switch lever 120. A protrusion for changing an output signal of the switch 119 from an ON signal to an OFF signal, maintaining the Off signal and again changing to the ON signal is formed at the cam 121a. When the tray is disposed at an origin position becoming horizontal, the switch 119 is operated and held in a section for maintaining the OFF signal of the protrusion by the protrusion.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a state of uncertainty that an ice detection signal is generated or not generated according to the excess or deficiency of ice in a process of returning an ice making tray after release of the ice, without controlling an ice detecting lever, and further to simplify a structure. SOLUTION: Construction is so made that a switch 119 is made to output an Hi signal continuously by a first switch operating means during the time when an ice making tray is at -20 deg. to +30 deg. to the position of the origin as a reference at the time when ice in a prescribed quantity or more is present in an ice storage box and that the switch 119 is made to output the Hi signal continuously by first and second switch operating means during the time when the ice making tray is at -20 deg. to +84 deg. at the time when the ice in the prescribed quantity or more is not present in the ice storage box. By this construction, a switch signal is inverted by the same number of times invariably irrespective of excess or deficiency of the ice in a process wherein the ice making tray returns, without controlling an ice detecting lever. By using as a reference the position where the signal is inverted, therefore, the position of the origin can be detected without fail.

SOLUTION: This device is provided with the geared motor which is composed of a cylinder 19 rotating with an output shaft 18 transmitting rotational force to the outside and performing the reciprocating movement in an axial direction by making the output shaft 18 as a guide bar and first switch means 25 to 27 operating by the horizontal plate 19c springing out in the perpendicular direction the center axis from the outer periphery of the cylinder 19. Further, when a second switch means 33 is arranged in the interior of the geared motor, operation members 31 (31a, 31b) operating a second switch means 33 are projected to the side of an article storage shelf, articles are stored in the article storage shelf and the articles are arranged, the operation member 31 are moved into the geared motor 10 and the second switch means 33 is made to be operated. Thus, the place, labor and time for installing the switch means at the outside of the geared motor is unnecessitated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the water proofness of a terminal portion, reliability of electric contact, etc., by fixing a water-proof type connector used at an electric connection part to a stopper and making up an electric contact member separately from a piston operation regulating member. CONSTITUTION:A water-proof connector 32 having electric connection terminal portions 33 of a terminal member 34 at an opening portion is fixed to a stopper 31. Moreover, a pair of contact members 37 which have resilience and are fixed to the end of a terminal member 34 and come into contact with the periphery of a spacer 28 are installed opposed to each other. When the pressure of a hydraulic line increases to more than a set pressure, the hydraulic pressure led in from the pressure lead-in hole of the case 21 installed at the hydraulic line moves a piston 25 resisting the power of a bias spring 30 and makes the conductive portion 26 of the spacer 28 come into contact with the pair of contact members 37. Thereby, an electric current flows to one of the electric connection terminal portions 33, the terminal member 34, one of the contact members 37, the conductive portion 26, the other of the contact members 37, the terminal member 34 and the other of the electric connection terminal portions 33 in that order to electrically turn the switch on.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent chattering and improve reliability of electric contact of internal component parts by installing an O-ring for sealing between the connector to be fixed by calking to a metal case together with a plate and the metal case. CONSTITUTION:A threaded portion 22 for attaching to a hydraulic line on the periphery of an end of an earthed metal case 21 is provided and the inside of the metal case 21 is hollow to form a pressure lead-in hole 23; moreover, a piston room 24 which communicates with the pressure lead-in hole 25 is formed. A piston 25 is installed such that it freely and axially acts on impulse. A contact plate 28 which has an O-ring 26 for oil seal at the side of the pressure lead-in hole 23 and an elastic contact point 27 with the case 21 at the piston room 24 is installed. A receiver portion is formed at the bias spring 29 which energizes the piston 25, and a contact member 33b is installed at the end of a terminal member 23 held at the central portion of the plate 30 where the peripheral bearing surface abuts against the case 21, and the contact member 33b is fixed by calking to the end of the case 21 together with the plate 30 and an O-ring 34 for seal.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic ice making device for a refrigerator provided with a method of storing ice blocks removed from respective ice making pans, a method of detecting either overs and shorts of the stored ice blocks and a method of supplying water into the ice making pans from which the ice blocks are removed, in the automatic ice making device having a plurality of ice making pans. SOLUTION: The automatic ice making device is provided with a switching valve 20 for conducting water flowing into the valve 20 from a pump 19 arranged on the way from the pump 19 for pumping the water to the ice making pans 11, 12, to flow out to the predetermined positions of the ice making pans 11, 12; ice making sensors provided in respective ice making pans 11, 12 to detect whether ice making is finished or not; ice storage boxes 14 arranged below respective ice making pans to store ice blocks in respective ice making pans 11, 12; and ice detecting means 15 provided in respective ice storage boxes 14 to detect whether the ice blocks stored in respective ice storage boxes 14 are too much or too short. The switching valve 20 is operated after detecting whether the ice blocks detected by the ice detecting means 15 are too much or too short with respect to the ice storage boxes below the ice making pans, in which the finish of ice making has been detected by the ice making sensor.

SOLUTION: Referring to the direction (indicated by an arrow) of the shortest distance to a space 1f of the main body having a flow from discharge port 1c through contact faces of an arc face 2a, an upper face 2b, a lower face 2c and a sealing face 2d of the body 1 of the valve 2, the direction is orthogonal or nearly orthogonal to the direction of the water flowing in the space 1f. The lateral pressure acts in the direction vertically approaching the current, so water does not flow in the direction of a discharge port 1d, and leakage can be positively prevented.

SOLUTION: An air-flow generating device is installed above an ice-making device, a convection of the ice making water is promoted and a mass concentration of air resolved at a freezing interface is decreased to enable transparent ice to be easily generated.
