    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce the title polymer excellent in gas barrier property, solvent resistance and impact resistance, by emulsion-polymerizing a monomer mixture containing acrylonitrile in the presence of a specified synthetic conjugated diene rubber in an atmosphere of a low oxygen content. CONSTITUTION:A polymerizer is charged with 1-40pts.wt. synthetic conjugated diene rubber comprising at least 50wt% conjugated diene monomer and at most 50wt% monomer copolymerizable therewith (e.g., acrylonitrile), 100pts.wt. monomer mixture containing at least 50wt% acrylonitrile, water, an emulsifier or a dispersant, a polymerization initiator, an MW modifier, a pH modifier, etc. The polymerizer and the inside of the system are purged with an inert gas to decrease the oxygen content to 0.1% or below, and the reaction mixture is emulsion-polymerized at 0-100 deg.C and pressure of 1-10kg/cm .G.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To readily and simply obtain aromatic polyamide pulp, by specifying raw materials, a solvent, a composition of a coagulating solution, its temperature and a method of extruding dope into the coagulating solution. CONSTITUTION:An aromatic polyimide synthesized from an aromatic polyfunctional isocyanate and an aromatic polyfunctional carboxylic acid is dissolved in N,N'-dimethylethyleneurea to give dope.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare the subject resin substantially not having an initial color and giving molded products reduced in the thermal coloration on the molding by controlling the pH of a latex prepared from an emulsion polymerization to a specific range, and subsequently subjecting the prepared latex to a salting- out treatment. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. of a mixture of an unsaturated nitrile and a copolymerizable monomer, the content of the unsaturated nitrile being at least 50wt.%, is emulsion-grafted on 1-40 pts.wt. of a dienic synthetic rubber, and subsequently the latex prepared is subjected to a salting-out treatment to provide the objective resin. In the process, the pH of the latex is controlled to 3-6 and the latex is subjected to the salting-out treatment. The pH-controlling agent includes acetic acid and citric acid.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a polymer having no reduction in impact resistance caused by molding and processing and slightly causing yellowing resulting from thermal molding and processing in recovering a polymer from a high nitrile-based resin latex obtained by emulsion graft polymerization by using CaCl2 as a coagulant. CONSTITUTION:First, 100 pts.wt. monomer mixture comprising >=50wt.% unsaturated nitrile [preferably (meth)acrylonitrile] and a monomer copolymerizable with the unsaturated nitrile are subjected to emulsion graft polymerization in the presence of 1-40 pts.wt. diene-based synthetic rubber to give a high nitrilebased resin latex. Then, the polymer is recovered from the latex by using calcium chloride as a coagulant. To be concrete, for example, the latex and calcium chloride are continuously fed to a mixing chamber by a screw pump and blended to form a paste, which is coagulated in hot water close to the softening temperature of the resin to recover the polymer.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the trouble in the process due to fine particles by suppressing the generation of the fine particles by advancing curing allowing hot water to flow in a laminar flow state using a horizontal coagulation tank. CONSTITUTION:Viscous paste 1 is prepared from polymer latex using a salting- out agent and shearing and extruded from a mesh tray 2 having pores to be formed into strands 3. The size of each pore is appropriately selected according to the shape of a final product. The paste 1 molded into the strand-shape is coagulated under heating in a horizontal coagulation tank 4 provided with a weir for allowing hot water of 60 - 90 deg.C to flow in a laminar flow state to form a water sump. Since the coagulated polymer still contains a considerable amount of impurities, said polymer is further washed with hot water using a usual washing tank 7 and dried. By this method, the formation of a fine powder causing trouble from the aspect of a process can be suppressed as low as possible.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve productivity by cutting spirally the surface of a resin roller with a cutting machine provided on the cutting portion with a grinding wheel having at least two projecting portions. CONSTITUTION:When a spiral roller for transferring paper leaves such as film and copy paper is manufactured, the surface of a grinding wheel is cut by a cutting tool into a configuration corresponding to desired spiral pitch and depth, and then a material mounted on a V-shaped bed having the horizontality aligned with a blade before and after a centerless grinder is subjected to spiral working with through feed grinding while circulating water mixed with aqueous cutting oil agent. In the spiral working, the presence of roller shaft end, or the material and shape of roller shaft end is not limited. Thus, a brittle material such as thermosetting resin is prevented from being cut off and a material having inferior rigidity like thermoplastic resin can be prevented from warp to improve productivity.
