Abstract:
A clamping device with overload protection and a process to connect both elements, which are to be connected, whereby the clamping device is fitted with an element to be connected first, an element to be connected second, which is connected to the first element, and a bracing bolt to connect. In order to ensure effective overload protection, the clamping device contains a sleeve, which is connected with the second element to be connected through the bracing bolt, and which runs through the first element to be connected, and a sleeve tensioning device, which is engaged with the sleeve, and which clamps the first element to be connected with the second element to be connected, whereby the bracing bolt is stretched to a predetermined stress level in relation to its elastic limit, whereby the sleeve is released of tension up to a predetermined release level, and a transgression of the operating force, which separates the two elements to be connected, leads—beyond an operating force limit—to a stress release of the sleeve relative to the clamping, by the bracing bolt, and to a breaking of the bracing bolt.
Abstract:
A compression generator uses a plurality of jackbolts threadedly engaged at a spaced apart relation about a bolt circle in a main core element. The main core element is releasable interlocked by threads, bayonet connection or other form of fasting system with the mounting element forming a fixed part of the mechanical connection. The jackbolts torqued to generate a pushing force in an axial direction for compressing a moveable part of the mechanical connection against a compression seat for forming a mechanical connection between juxtaposition fixed and moveable parts.

Described are tape-type magnetic recording media (I) including a non-magnetic substrate (III), at least one film applied to the substrate and, in at least one of these films, an inorganic acicular pigment (II) suitable for use as a supporting pigment, the ratio of the mean length to the mean diameter of the pigment (II) being at least 3 and the mean modulus of elasticity of the films being not less than 15 GPa in the longitudinal direction of the tape-type recording medium (I).
Abstract:
An apparatus for irreversibly indicating that the permissible temperature of stored products has been temporarily exceeded is described, in which a container has a heat-conducting connection to the product to be monitored and contains, in its interior, a medium having a melting point which is just above the permissible storage temperature, magnetizable particles being suspended in the medium. Moreover, solid magnetizable bodies are uniformly distributed in the container. After the deep-freezing process is complete, the magnetizable particles and the solid bodies are magnetized. If the permissible storage temperature is exceeded, the suspension becomes liquid and the pigments accumulate on the solid bodies, an optical indicator present on a wall of the container and visible from the outside detecting that the permissible temperature has been exceeded.
Abstract:
A toothbrush is provided having two housing sections (1, 2) which are pivotable relative to one another, of which a first housing section (1) serves as a handle and accommodates a drive unit (4) for driving a drive shaft (5), and of which a second housing section (2) carries a brush-head (3), which is drivable by the drive shaft, which second housing section (2) is pivotable relative to the drive shaft (5) about a pivot (6). To warn the user against an excessive brushing pressure the toothbrush has a spring device with at least one spring (14) which acts between the second housing section (2) and the drive shaft (5), the second housing section (2) being pivotable relative to the first housing section (1) about the pivot (6) against a pressure exerted by the spring (14) during use of the toothbrush, which spring snaps when a given pressure threshold is exceeded and which pivot is disposed in the second housing section and also forms at least a part of a mechanical coupling between the drive shaft and the second housing section.
Abstract:
An epilation apparatus is provided having at least one pair of rotatably mounted epilation rollers (3, 4), which are arranged in the region of an opening (2) provided in the housing (1) of the apparatus, are rotatingly drivable in opposite directions and cooperate with one another at their periphery. Associated with the epilation apparatus is a skin protection device, which is arranged in the region of the opening (2), partially covering the epilation rollers (3, 4) and through which the hairs reach the epilation rollers (3, 4) the skin protection device is a strip-shaped web (11) of wave-shaped design in relation to the longitudinal extension of the epilation rollers, (3, 4) the web, has wave troughs (9) and wave crests (10) alternately on both sides and is comb-like on both sides.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A dry-shaving apparatus comprises a shear-shaving section having a first head member formed by an arcuate flexible shear foil providing a working surface, such shear-shaving section including a plurality of reciprocatingly drivable cutters co-operating with the flexible shear foil. Included is a comb-shaving section having a second head member constructed as a rigid trough-shaped part fixedly and permanently connected to the flexible shear foil and provided with a working surface, such comb-shaving section including a reciprocatingly drivable rigid cutter co-operating with the rigid trough-shaped part. The first head member and the second head member together constitute a head-member unit. A cutter unit co-operates with the head-member unit and includes a reciprocatingly drivable support for supporting and driving the cutters of the respective shaving sections. The working surface of the comb-shaving section adjoins the working surface of the shear-shaving section and projects laterally therefrom, the plane defined by the working surface of the comb-shaving section forming an obtuse angle with the plane tangent to the working surface of the shear-shaving section at the location where the two shaving sections adjoin each other. The rigid cutter of the comb-shaving section is supported by the cutter unit support by means of at least one spring.
