Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an inner cylinder of a torque limiter from slipping out of an outer cylinder.
SOLUTION: In this torque limiter, a coil spring 3 is installed on the outer periphery of the inner cylinder 2 with an interference; its inner cylinder 2 is inserted into the outer cylinder 1; the front end of the inner cylinder 2 is allowed to abut on a projection part 7 formed on the inner periphery of the outer cylinder 1; an annular cover member 4 is arranged for blocking up a part between the inner periphery of the outer cylinder 1 and the outer periphery of the inner cylinder 2; its cover member 4 is prevented from slipping out of the outer cylinder 1; a support part 21 supporting an end part 17 of the coil spring 3 is arranged in the outer cylinder 1l; and torque transmitted between the inner cylinder 2 and the outer cylinder 1 is limited by sliding between the coil spring 3 and the inner cylinder 2. The rear part outer periphery 13 of he inner cylinder 2 and the inner periphery 14 of the cover member 4 are formed in a tapered shape of narrowing a diameter backward.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil and a lubricating grease in which variation in torque is small even under a high-temperature/high-humidity environment and development of chatter is suppressed by controlling metal to metal contact by the deficiency of an oil film to enable prolongation of service life of bearings, and which is excellent in resistance to chemical attack, and to provide a torque limiter using them.
SOLUTION: The lubricating oil comprises a base oil composed of a synthesized saturated hydrocarbon oil having a kinematic viscosity at 40°C of 500-1,200 mm
2 /s and an emulsifier. The emulsifier comprises a sulfonic acid metal salt dissolved in a solvent which does not cause chemical attack. The lubricating grease comprises the base oil, a thickening agent and the emulsifier.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-way slip type torque limiter capable of increasing a transmitted torque capacity without remarkably increasing an axial length thereof.SOLUTION: A torque limiter coil spring 10 is assembled between an outer ring 1 and an inner ring 8 assembled inside of the outer ring 1. A clutch coil spring 14, which transmits the one-way rotation between the rotary shaft 13 and the inner ring 8 and which cuts the transmission of the rotation in the other direction, is assembled between the inner ring 8 and the rotary shaft 13 inserted inside thereof. As the clutch coil spring 14, a double coil spring including: a large-diameter coil spring part 14a which binds the outer diameter surface of a protrusion of the inner ring 8; a continuously provided part 14b continuously provided to a winding end of the large-diameter coil spring part 14a and spirally extending inward in the radial direction; and a small-diameter coil spring part 14c continuously provided to a small-diameter end of the continuously provided part 14b and disposed inside of the large-diameter coil spring part 14a so as to bind the outer diameter surface of the rotary shaft 13, is used to increase the transmitted torque capacity without remarkably increasing the axial length.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frictional engagement type torque limiter of a specified mechanism employing a coil spring, which makes lubrication failure hardly occur in an initial operation state, or prevents the occurrence of abnormal sounds even though a temperature is high.
SOLUTION: In a torque limiter, an inner ring 2 is provided inside an outer ring 1. A small diameter coil 3a for fastening the outer radial surface of the inner ring 2 is provided at a coil spring 3 incorporated between the inner and outer rings. One of both ends of the coil spring 3 is fixed to the outer ring 1. When the inner ring 2 is frictionally engaged with the coil spring 3 by a fastening force of the coil spring 3, torque can be transmitted between the inner ring 2 and the outer ring 1. While the inner ring 2 is formed of an oil impregnated sintered metal, a predetermined amount of lubricating oil for refilling a shrinkage quantity of a lubricating oil volume after impregnation treatment is applied to the surface of the inner ring 2. The lubricating oil of a refilling lubricating oil volume shrinkage quantity is lubricating oil having viscosity higher than the lubricating oil for impregnation treatment. The torque limiter preferably introduces the lubricating oil of 100 cSt-1,200 cSt.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and cost of a torque limiter by using a novel member instead of a conventional coil spring as a torque limiting member.
SOLUTION: This torque limiter is composed of the torque limiting member 3 interposed between a housing 1 and an inner race 2. The torque limiting member 3 is composed of an annular base part 8 fixed to an outer diameter surface of the inner race 2 and a tapered elastic part 9 extending in the shaft direction from its annular base part 8 and divided in a plurality by a slit in the shaft direction. The elastic part 9 is constituted to be in contact with an inner diameter surface of the housing 1 by predetermined pressing force.
