Abstract:
In a method of producing a glass container (2) having a projective coating, at least one layer (5, 6) of elastic polymeric material, such as styrene rubber and polyurethane, and a friction-reducing coating (7), preferably of polyethylene, are successively applied to the glass container. In one variant, a special friction-reducing agent is admixed to a polyurethane layer (6). The friction-reducing agent consists of a wax emulsion containing ethylene-bis-stearamide.
Abstract:
A container (20), especially a bottle, is made from a blank or preform (10) of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), where the blank (10) has a mouth portion (11), a substantially conical upper portion (12) extending from the mouth portion (11), and a cylindrical portion (13) extending from the conical portion (12) towards the bottom of the blank and having a substantially uniform wall thickness. When reshaping the blank (10), the shoulder (22) of the container (20) is formed substantially only of material which in the blank (10) is located in the conical upper portion (12) of the blank, while the cylindrical portion (23) of the container (20) is formed substantially only of material which in the blank (10) is located in the cylindrical portion (13) of the blank. The expansion of the material in the conical portion (12) of the blank (10) and of the material in the cyclindrical portion (13) of the blank (10) is selectively controlled in such a manner that the material in the respective portion undergoes stretching in the axial direction of the blank (10), defined by the quotient of the axial length of the conical portion (12) of the blank (10) and the axial length of the cylindrical portion (13) of the blank (10) having values in the range 0.25-0.35, and by the quotient of the axial length of the shoulder (22) and the axial length of the cylindrical portion (23) of the container (20) having values in the range 0.60-0.80.
Abstract:
A container (17) of metal/plastic laminate, in which the plastic material in the laminate from which the container is produced consists of oriented material, is disposed so as to be tightly sealed by means of a sealing device in that the container is, in the contemplated fixing region (13) of the sealing device, provided with substantially non-oriented material. This is effected in that the material in the fixing region is heated to a temperature at least corresponding to that temperature at which orientation of the material is reduced. The containers form, in the fixing region (13), a fixing layer (15) of plastic material consisting of substantially non-oriented material which connects to oriented material and constitutes a layer integrated with the oriented material.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a polymer material and a process for its production. The polymer material consists of partially split polyamide and the process entails that an optional polyamide is caused to react with a nucleophilic reagent under melting conditions.
Abstract:
A container/preform (1) of mainly plastic material comprises several layers (10-12) wherein at least in one layer (11) are present one or more substances and/or material which bring about that the layer reflects light invisible to the eye, e.g. UV-light. Owing to this it is possible to measure the extension and/or layer thickness of the layer (11) by determining the ranges where the incident light is reflected or the intensity of the reflected light. The invention is particularly suitable for transparent containers/preforms and makes it possible to check the production without destroying the containers/preforms which are manufactured.
Abstract:
A material portion (1) of oriented material is converted through heating in an area adjoining one boundary surface of the material portion to a layer (10) of substantially non-oriented material. A film (2) is fixed to the fixing layer (10) in that the film is pressed with the help of compression and heating means (50) to the layer (10). Through the heat supply from the means (50) the necessary heat is supplied so that the film (2) will be fixed to the fixing layer (10). Owing to the film being bonded to substantially non-oriented plastic material, the detachability aimed at in the bond between the film and the material portion (1) is achieved.
Abstract:
In an arrangement for the separation of waste materials, in particular domestic waste materials, is included a separating table (10) arranged at an angle to the horizontal plane, with a lower part (11) and an upper part (12). The separating table as a whole, or longitudinal segments in the same, describe rotating movements whilst largely maintaining the orientation in relation to the horizontal plane. A feeder (20) adapted as a shaking table is provided in its output part (21) with fingers (22) oriented largely in the direction of movement of the goods. These form gaps between themselves which allow goods of dimensions smaller than the gap width to pass so as to fall down onto the separating table (10). At least parts of the gaps are located above the lower part of the table which forms a larger angle with the horizontal plane than the upper part of the table.
Abstract:
A packing comprising an outer cover constituted by a relatively rigid material and an inner container of relatively flexible material placed within the outer cover. A perimetral rim portion is formed on the outer cover at one end with a central opening within the rim. A plate is disposed within the rim to define a narrow gap therewith extending around the periphery of the plate. The plate is constituted of the same material as the outer cover and is affixed at its inner surface to the outer surface of the inner container by glue or other suitable expedient. The cover can be removed by cutting the inner container at the gap to expose the contents in the inner container.
