Abstract: Un procedimiento para usar en un sistema de comunicación en el que un dispositivo cliente (108) solicita archivos de medios de un sistema de ingestión de medios (103), comprendiendo el procedimiento: recibir, mediante un dispositivo cliente (108), un archivo descriptor de presentación de medios (500) que contiene un identificador de representación, unos índices de archivo y una regla de construcción de identificador de archivo, en el que un índice de archivo es el número de secuencia del archivo en la representación identificada por el identificador de representación y en el que la regla de construcción de identificador de archivo proporciona información que permite al dispositivo cliente (108) construir dinámicamente identificadores de archivo de medios de archivos de medios con datos de medios requeridos usando el identificador de representación y uno o más de los índices de archivo; construir, en el dispositivo cliente (108), un identificador de archivo de un archivo de medios en base a la regla de construcción de identificador de archivo recibida usando el identificador de representación y al menos uno de los índices de archivo; y enviar una petición (112) para el archivo de medios al sistema de ingestión de medios (103), en el que la petición (112) comprende el identificador de archivo construido en base a la regla de construcción de identificador de archivo.
