The invention relates to a device for treating the hair and to the corresponding application method, the device (2) comprising: —two arms (5, 6) that are able to move relative to one another between a moved-together configuration for treating the hair and a spaced-apart configuration for inserting hair to be treated between said arms, and —a system (18) for applying a product, comprising an applicator member (26) for applying the product, the application system (18) being mounted on one of the arms (5) and being able to move relative to said arm (5) between at least two positions generating, while the device (2) is being used to treat the hair, different respective application pressures of the applicator member (26) on the hair to be treated.

The invention relates to an epilation head roller (10) comprising: a stationary central shaft (13); bars (16), each forming a tubular portion of the roller and being rotated about the central shaft in order to be positioned successively in an operating position; and tweezers (12, 49, 50) arranged on each bar, each of said tweezers being formed by a stationary blade (17) and a moving blade (18, 35, 37, 55, 58, 60, 62, 64) that can move between an open position and a closed position. In addition, the roller comprises manoeuvring means (19) for manoeuvring the moving blades that are configured to: (i) pivot according to transverse axes Y1 into the open position, with all of the moving blades on the bar arriving at the operating position; and (ii) pivot according to transverse axes Y1 into the closed position, with all of the moving blades (18, 35, 37, 55, 58, 60, 62, 64) on the bar (16) leaving the operating position. According to the invention, the manoeuvring means (19) comprise: pivot joints (20) arranged along transverse axes Y1 between the moving blades (18, 35, 37, 55, 58, 60, 62, 64) and the bars (16); moving rods (22) arranged under each bar (16) along axes X3, said floating pivot joints being arranged between the moving blades and each respective moving rod (22); and spring means (38, 56) arranged on each moving rod (22) between adjacent moving blades such as to exert reciprocal forces between the moving blades and to balance said forces.

The invention relates to an epilation head roller (13) for an epilation device including a housing (1) containing a motor (4), said epilation head roller comprising: a stationary central shaft (20) of axis A, intended to be rotatably connected to the housing; a tubular cage (21) which is intended to be rotated about the central shaft (20) by the motor (4) and which bears tweezers (15), each formed by a stationary blade (25) rigidly connected to the tubular cage (21) and a moving blade (26) that can move between an open position (O) in which the moving blade (26) is at a distance from the stationary blade (25) and a closed position (F) in which the moving blade (26) is in contact with the stationary blade (25); and manoeuvring means (7, 9, 30) for manoeuvring the moving blades (26) between the open (O) and closed (F) positions during the rotation of the tubular cage (21) about the central shaft (20). According to the invention, the manoeuvring means (7, 9, 30) comprise: associated with each moving blade (26), at least one return spring (7) intended to return the moving blade (26) to the closed position (F); and, associated with each moving blade (26), an individual opening means (9) solidly connected to the moving blade (26) in order to rotate same, said opening means (9) being intended to move, under the action of tweezer actuation means (30), in order to open the moving blade (26).
