CONSTITUTION:A gear pattern is formed with dry films 16-1 to 16-5 on a substrate 13 on which a conductive layer is formed.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a manufacturing method of an ink jet recording head of which the life and reliability are improved by using a photosensitive resin which is surface-modified by the contact with a reactive gas, and of which the ink resistance is improved, for the ink passage. CONSTITUTION:After alkalescent developing type photosensitive resin layers 5, 6 are formed on a nozzle plate 1 and vibration plate 4 of an ink jet recording head and exposed to light, the photosensitive resin layers 5, 6 are developed by an alkalescent solvent to form an ink passage. After the photosensitive resin layers 5, 6 are brought into contact with an activated reactive gas and surface-modified, the photosensitive resin layer 5 on the nozzle plate 1, and the photosensitive resin layer 6 on the vibration plate 4 are bonded.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of wire bonding, and to simplify a manufacturing process is a TAB by selectively laminating palladium, a diffusion preventive metal and a metal enabling metallic joining in succession onto the aluminum wiring metal of an electrode forming section. CONSTITUTION:Electroless plating enabling selective laminating is used as a method in which palladium, a diffusion preventive metal and a metal enabling metallic joining are laminated successively onto an aluminum wiring metal. Palladium is limited up to the etching of the oxide film of the aluminum wiring metal. A silicon substrate 1 having a P-N junction is degreased by alcohol, etched in approximately 1000Angstrom by an aqueous solution mainly comprising sulfuric acid, and dipped into a palladium treating liquid at 10 deg.C containing 10mg/l palladium chloride and 0.1% ammonium fluoride. A nickel-phosphorus layer 6 is plated by an electroless plating bath using nickel sulfate and hypophosphorous acid. Lastly, an NiP surface is activated, and a gold layer 7 is plated by a substitutional electroless gold plating solution, thus manufacturing electrode structure.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make uniform the laminated height of low-melting point metal layers, such as a solder layer and the like, and to prevent a failure of bonding from generating by a method wherein a gold layer and a metal layer having a melting point of a specified temperature or lower are laminated on an external terminal obtainable by laminating selectively a palladium layer and a nickel alloy layer in order on the wiring metal layer of a semiconductor integrated circuit. CONSTITUTION:A palladium layer 4 is formed on an Al layer 2 which is a bonding pad. Then, a nickel-phosphorus alloy layer 5 is plated in an electroless plating bath. Then, a metal layer 6 is plated with an electroless gold plating solution. Lastly, the layers 2, 4, 5 and 6 are dipped into a heated solder bath while being applied ultrasonic waves to laminate a solder layer 7 having a melting point of 350 deg.C or lower and a bump is manufactured.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a magnetic recording medium having different magnetic characteristics by immersing a nonmagnetic substrate into an aq. soln. in which either of bivalent iron ions and tervalent iron ions or both thereof are dissolved then immersing the substrate into an electroless plating liquid. CONSTITUTION:The characteristics required for the magnetic recording medium vary with the characteristics of a magnetic memory device. The magnetic characteristics of a magnetic film depends on the compsn. of a plating liquid in the case of an electroless plating film and the production process of this invention is capable of producing the magnetic recording medium having the different magnetic characteristics without changing the compsn. of the plating liquid. More specifically, the nonmagnetic substrate is immersed into the aq. soln. in which either of the bivalent iron ions or tervalent ion ions or both thereof are dissolved and thereafter the substrate is immersed into the electroless plating liquid contg. cobalt ion or cobalt ions and nickel ions, by which the magnetic film having the different characteristics is formed on the substrate.
