    Abstract: PURPOSE: To optionally select all musical intervals in a wider musical interval range by determining oscillation frequency and a frequency division ratio by a ROM. CONSTITUTION: The musical interval generating circuit is constituted of a NAND circuit 2, a plurality of inverters 3, 4, a resistor 1, a plurality of capacitors 5 to 16, a CR oscillation circuit consisting of a plurality of switches 17 to 28, a frequency dividing flip flop circuit 33, a plurality of programmable counters 30 to 32, a 1st decoder 36 for controlling the switches 17 to 28, a 2nd decoder 34 for controlling the counters 30 to 32, and a ROM 35 for determining the inputs of the decoders 34, 36. One of the capacitors 5 to 16 is selected by a signal read out from the ROM 35 to determine the oscillation frequency of the CR oscillation circuit, the frequency division ratio of the counters 30 to 32 is determined similarly by a signal read out from the ROM 35 and an optional sound interval can be generated from the combination of the oscillation frequency and the frequency division ratio.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To set detection voltage with good accuracy by a method wherein the detection circuit of a voltage detection circuit built in an IC is set up with nonvolatile memories.
    CONSTITUTION: An EPROM1 is a 3-bit erasable and writable nonvolatile memory built in the IC, and a terminal pad 2 is to write in the EPROM. Terminals 3, 4, and 5 are the output terminals of the EPROM which are set at high or low level according to written data contents. here, with the terminals 3∼5 set under a certain condition, the position of a kind of tap is selected, and the detection voltage in that situation is measured. On judgement from that data, the right position of the tap is determined, and this data is inputted through the terminal pad 2 and selected.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a circuit which detects oscillation or nonoscillation of a switching pulse depending on the level, high or low, of an output of an inverter of an inverter circuit of a C-MOS added. CONSTITUTION:A circuit with a C-MOS inverter added is composed of a P- channel MOS transistor 11 and an N-channel MOS transistor 12. The P-channel MOS transistor 11 is set small in the conductance constant (beta) of an MOSFET and high in the threshold voltage (Vth) thereof while the N-channel transistor 12 is set large in beta and low in Vth. When the oscillation of a pulse continues, the level of respective voltages is positioned as illustrated and the logic level is set at the position indicated by the dotted line. Thus, the gate potential VSS1 of an inverter is recognized as ''HIGH'', which causes the N-channel transistor to be turned ON to develop a VSS2, a ''LOW'' potential at the output OUT.

CONSTITUTION: A oscillation circuit 1 is constituted with a CR oscillation circuit, a crystal oscillation circuit, or an oscillation circuit of a ceramic vibrator, oscillates an objective frequency, and inputs a signal having a oscillation frequency to sound sources 3-5 and a rhythm sound generation circuit 6. And the circuit 1 inputs a signal having a frequency to which an oscillation frequency is divided by 1/M to a control circuit and a rhythm sound generation circuit 6. And the circuit 1 mixes analog voltage of sound from plural sound sources and analog voltage of a rhythm sound in a mixer circuit 7 and generates analog voltage of a sound output finally. A sine wave, rectangular wave and sawtooth wave are stored in a waveform ROM 61 of three sound sources 3-6, and a trapezoidal wave shape and triangle wave shape are stored in an envelope ROM 55. Thereby, various tones can be generated by storing waveforms and envelopes of the sounds of musical instruments in the ROM 61 and ROM 55.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To generate a sound of free sound quality by setting the output frequency of a programmable counter for pitch to an integer multiple of the frequency of a target sound, equalizing the number of addresses of a waveform memory to the integer and using a counter having the scale equal to the integer as a waveform counter. CONSTITUTION:This sound generating device is equipped with a scale programmable counter 60 which has its frequency division ratio determined by scale ROM data and divides an oscillation frequency to a frequency N-times as high as that of a note to be outputted, a waveform ROM 61 stores with data obtained by converting one waveform of a sound into a digital value, and an N-scale counter 62 which counts the output of the scale programmable counter 60, and the number of addresses of the waveform ROM 61 is denoted as N. Therefore, waveform data stored in the waveform memory is outputted as the frequency of the target sound. Consequently, the waveform and envelope of the free sound and the strength of the sound are obtained to generate sounds of various quality, and rhythm sounds of different tone can be generated.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce sounds having lingering tones by forming a musical note length in accordance with stored melody information and, at the same time, designating the musical interval of a sound source and inputting stored data, such as waveform data of sounds, envelope waveform data to a loudspeaker. CONSTITUTION:An oscillation circuit 1 oscillates an aimed frequency and inputs the frequency to sound sources 1, 2, and 3 and a rhythmic sound production circuit 6. A control circuit 2 divides the oscillation frequency into frequencies of tempo (rhythm) and data (not length, jump data, intervals of each sound source, data of sound quantities of and punctuations of each sound source and rhythm) are stored in a built-in main ROM at every note of all pieces of music. The sound sources 1-3 store square waves, sine waves, and saw tooth waves in the their waveform ROMs and can produce various tone qualities by storing waveforms and envelopes of each musical instrument and in their envelope ROMs. Since this sound producer is provided with plural sound sources having different tone qualities, expandable, substantial, and natural performances can be realized with this sound producer when rhythmic sounds are added.

The easy execution of the control of the sound volume of each of the respective sound sources by each of the notes is thereby enabled.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a greatly expressive and zestful blinking state by outputting, to a driving circuit for light emitting element, a combined logic signal containing the output signal of the rear part of a programmable counter for musical note generating circuit, and thereby blinking the light emitting element in accordance with the length of the outputted musical note. CONSTITUTION: An oscillating frequency, which is generated in the CR oscillation circuit 1 of a melody IC for driving a light emitting element, is divided into suitable frequencies by a frequency divider circuit 2 and inputted to a tempo- generating programmable counter 3 constituted of plural FF's. A frequency- divided signal with a required length is outputted by this counter 3 in accordance with the output of the tempo ROM 4, inputted in a musical note generating programmable counter 5 constituted of plural FF's with a set, and controlled by a musical note ROM 6, so that a signal is outputted to an output terminal 7 - a signal frequency-divided to a length required for the main ROM in the next stage. Then, the externally attached light emitting element 10 is blinked in accordance with the length of a musical note.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To change over a MOS capacity and to adjust an oscillating frequency by turning on a suitable MOS switch by the selection of the binary code of a selecting terminal incorporated in an IC. CONSTITUTION:The oscillator is composed of a terminal 1 for oscillation control, a gate terminal 2, a drain terminal 3, a NAND circuit 4, inverters 5 and 6, a buffer 7, an output terminal 8, a built-in capacity 9 which is a reference, a built-in resistance 10, MOS switches 11-14, inverters 15-18 for converting a phase, built-in capacities 19-22 changed over by the MOS switch, selecting terminals 23 and 24, and a decoder circuit 25. When the MOS switch is successively turned one by one with the binary code of the selecting terminals 23 and 24, the MOS capacity can be selected. A capacity value is set more or less higher than the desired oscillating frequency beforehand. When the capacity value of 19-22 is set so as to come to be larger at the interval of a certain constant value, the whole capacity is changed phasedly and the oscillating frequency is changed. Thus, the frequency can be adjusted.
