Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the conventional electronic apparatus has such a structure that a recording medium insertion port is closed by a cover, which not only gives a complicated outer appearance to a video camera in terms of design but also requires a lot of components for installation of the cover and is not economical.
SOLUTION: The electronic apparatus comprises an outerpackaging case 2 formed with an opening as a storage medium insertion port 6 for putting in and taking out a semiconductor storage medium 5, and a display unit 4 which is rotatably supported by the main body of the apparatus so as to open and close the storage medium insertion port 6. The display unit 4 comprises a flat panel 11 whereon image information is displayed and a panel case 12 which includes the flat panel 11 and is rotatably installed in the outerpackaging case 2. By arranging the display unit 4 in such a manner that part of a frame portion 16 of the panel case may partially overlap the storage medium insertion port 6, the semiconductor storage medium 5 inserted into the storage medium insertion port 6 is never brought into contact with the display plane of the flat panel 11 when the display unit 4 is brought into contact with the outerpackaging case 2.
